Call for donations! Please join JLGNF and our provisional members as they host a clothing drive in support of “Because One Matters,” and children that are transitioning to foster care.

Monica Haley-Coleman, Licensed Professional Counselor at Spelman College, will host “Rest is the Resistance: A Historical Perspective of Women’s Right to Rest,” on Thursday, March, 21st.
Join us from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as she discusses the dynamics of rest and empower women to incorporate rest into their self-care routine. (This event is open to the public).

Our February 2024 Member Spotlight goes to our amazing JLGNF member, Tameke' Davis. Tameke' was award, Diamond Award, the highest honor given for "Leadership and Collaborative Spirit," by United Healthcare.
With a commitment towards developing efficient strategies in her role as Marketing Chair for Communications within our League, we too are grateful for her leadership, her spirit of collaboration, and her love for ensuring our League's message remains strong and vibrant in all we do. We congratulate her for receiving such a significant award, and look forward to all that is to come!

The Junior League of Gwinnett & North Fulton Counties (JLGNF) will join sister leagues across the state of Georgia for the Junior Leagues of Georgia State Public Affairs Commitee Day at the Capitol today.
We are advocates, and we are ready to lend our voices in support of Affordable Housing.
We are still reveling in the delight of the support our members gave towards the mission of the Helping Mamas organization on Saturday, February 10th.
Thanks to the incredible work of our Community Council, members were able to assist with sorting inventory, shelving donated items, and help with processing bulk and mobile orders.
We applaud the initiatives of Helping Mamas and celebrate their efforts to elevate the well-being and dignity of women and families in our community.

The Junior League of Gwinnett & North Fulton Counties honors the contributions and legacy of African Americans during Black History Month, February 2024.
This year's theme is "African Americans and the Arts," exploring the visual and performing arts, literature, fashion, folklore, language, film, music, architecture, culinary, and other forms of cultural expression of the African American community and artisans.

Our January 2024 Member Spotlight goes to our incredible JLGNF member, Valerie Lewis. Valerie was awarded the "2023 Community Impact, Beyond the Classroom Award," by the Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Valerie continues to serve as a beacon of hope and change, throughout the community, ever striving to do the work that changes lives. We congratulate her for receiving this incredible award and am grateful for her efforts to cultivate strategies and activities that make a bigger impact to the children, adults, and families that need them most.
