Happy Wellness Wednesday! June is Men’s Health Month!
“Depression is no less real than any other health issue, like diabetes or high blood pressure. It’s not in our heads and it doesn’t mean we are weak.
Just as a broken bone can cause physical pain and limit our ability to move and function, depression can cause emotional pain and make it hard for us to engage in daily activities and fully enjoy life.
Unfortunately, while no one would hesitate to seek help for a broken bone, many and specifically men, still hesitate to seek support for their mental health.
This is often because some men:
* Equate depression with weakness
* Don’t recognize what they’re experiencing as depressive symptoms
* Don’t think they need anyone else’s help, that they are beyond being helped, or don’t deserve to be helped
* Think ‘real men’ need to sort through problems on their own”

What Is the Well-Being Mindset?
“The Well-Being Mindset is an awareness that exists outside the realm of physical health or fitness. It is not a prerequisite for having health or fitness, but a perspective that allows you to experience yourself as “well” regardless of the physical state of your body, emotions, or environment.” read more about this below 👇🏽 https://www.wholelifechallenge.com/the-well-being-mindset-the-missing-link-in-your-health-and-happiness/ #:~:text=The%20Well%2DBeing%20Mindset%20is,body%2C%20emotions%2C%20or%20environment.

“Mind your mindset”
“To improve their wellbeing, people must first believe they can make a change. Psychologists have found that the beliefs we hold about our abilities and potential are predictive of future outcomes, including wellbeing.
The renowned Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck has identified two key belief systems that relate to these beliefs: fixed versus growth mindset”… read more about this below 👇🏽 https://www.thinkwellpsychology.com.au/news/how-to-boost-your-wellbeing-the-benefits-of-a-growth-mindset
