At CORE Georgia, we are more than just our mobile teams. We are a family. Our mission is to support underserved communities facing emergent crisis, and in order to do so, we must support each other.

Over the summer, CORE Georgia team members have been gathering and spending more time together reflecting on our collective goals for the future of our organization. Those who have been with CORE Georgia for years, and those who have just recently joined our team, both understand the need to rely on one another in order to better address the challenges we face and assist the communities we serve.

CORE Georgia, in partnership with Georgia Department of Public Health, will be offering a free $100 GIFT CARD (while supplies last) to everyone getting a Covid-19 vaccine at participating CORE Georgia mobile vaccination sites (see incentive site locations). Minors under age 18 must have a parent or guardian present to receive gift card after vaccination.

This summer, keep yourself and your loved ones safe from extreme heat by practicing heat safety and heat-illness prevention methods. According to the CDC website, a total of 3,066 heat-related deaths occurred between 2018 and 2020.

In the case of a developing heat-related illness, it's important to be prepared to act and potentially help save a life by by knowing what to look for and what to do before it's too late.

CORE Georgia's Health Outreach Program works to increase health education and support communities facing COVID-19 health disparities by providing benefits navigation, resource coordination, and health education.

Our Health Outreach Coordinators are the link between the community and the resources available.

CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) is a crisis response organization that brings immediate aid and recovery to underserved communities around the globe. We impact Georgia communities by increasing and diversifying access to COVID-19 resources, with a focus on health equity services. We receive support through our Communications, Health Outreach, and Health Assistance Teams.

On June 18th, members of our CORE GA team engaged in our annual CPR and First Aid training! We learned the proper techniques for administering CPR, operating an AED, applying a tourniquet, and more!

We also learned about the importance of knowing CPR and First Aid skills, as they can often make a key difference in ensuring the safety of others in emergency situations.

According to the American Red Cross, "CPR increases the likelihood of surviving cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating, or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. CPR can double or triple the chance of survival when bystanders take action."
