: Sotos syndrome is an overgrowth syndrome. Characterized by a tall stature and/or macrocephaly, and nonprogressive neurologic disorder(s) with intellectual disability.

A case of Sotos syndrome with acute coronary syndrome was reported. The patient underwent emergency coronary artery bypass grafting.

Emory Women's Heart Center - Women's Heart Month 2021 Emory Women's Heart Center presents tips for promoting women's heart health

Women are more likely than men to develop heart failure or die after a heart attack, study says A study found that women face a 20% increased risk of developing heart failure or dying within five years after their first severe heart attack.

Since the 1960s, pregnant women have been urged to receive vaccines against influenza and other diseases. These women are generally cautioned against live vaccines, which contain weakened pathogens.

Even so, the benefits of live vaccines outweigh the risks in some situations, said Dr. Denise Jamieson, an obstetrician at Emory University in Atlanta and a member of A.C.O.G.’s committee on Covid vaccines.
