"We have been going to Family Eye Care Center of Atlanta since my daughter was 4, Dr. Locke had suggested getting evaluated to see if she was a candidate for vision therapy. I wish I had done it sooner! At the end of first grade my daughter averaged at the level of a kindergartener in the fist couple months of school. We knew something had to be done. We pulled the trigger and decided to get evaluated, once they determined she was a great candidate for vision therapy, we decided to go for it. It has been a great experience and she looks forward to it every week. We drive an hour each way to get it done because we truly love the staff at Family Eye Care Center of Atlanta. They are so patient, compassionate and informative. My daughter just had standardized testing at her school to see where each kid is at- I’m so proud to say that she is now right on track to where she is supposed to be in her grade level. In this short amount of time she has jumped 2 grade levels on standardized testing, went from all Ds and Fs to being on the A/B honor roll, no more car sickness, no more tired eyes, no more headaches, accurate depth perception and improved attention span. She is now one of the top readers of her class and her teachers cannot believe the leaps and bounds she has made in such a short amount of time. We are so thankful for the vision therapy and it has been more than worth all of the driving and the expense. My daughter now has a shot at being a normal little girl!
