**Sweep Van Crew - Each van needs a driver & a navigator, so this is a super fun way to sign up with a friend! Decorate the vans, blast some fun music, and help keep our walkers safe!
**Bike Crew - Bike Crew rides alongside 2-Day Walkers throughout the entire route, including some greenspace areas where motorized vehicles are not allowed. And really, who doesn't love a helmet with b***s on it?!
**Moto Crew - Wings, Feather Boas, and Pink Chaps - Oh My!! Moto Crew assists Walkers along the route by staffing busy intersections and keeping Walkers safe. MOTO also happens to be known as the best dancers on the crew!

We will be celebrating Jill's birthday at The It's The Journey, Inc. Giving Gala! We are super excited because we never got the chance to show off our Roaring 20's festive flair in 2020!
There are lots of safety precautions in place to keep all attendees as safe as possible. (I may or may not have ordered a sequined mask on Amazon...😁)
We will celebrate our hard work and give away funds raised at The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer in 2021 to the deserving grant recipients from all around Georgia. We'll also be raising money for 2022 to ensure that these breast cancer organizations, including ITJ, can continue their work throughout the year.

Important update for our Giving Gala guests:

In an effort to protect the health and safety of our Giving Gala guests, we will be requiring proof of either vaccination and/or a negative test result within 48 hours of February 12. We will accept photos, paper credentials, such as a CDC vaccine card or a print-out of a negative COVID-19 test. Feel free to upload your vaccination card to [email protected].

However, November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month (white or pearl ribbon) and we would like for everybody to take a picture and Show Us Your Pearls! Thanks to the Braves for kicking off this VERY grassroots effort to bring more awareness, conversation and focus to lung cancer! Ok...maybe not, but now I am able to grab onto the coat tails of the Braves win!
So, as you pearl up for the Braves, I ask that you also pearl up for Lung Cancer Awareness!

Everyone knows that PINK is the color for OCTOBER and the ribbons wave brightly and proudly to show support and create awareness for breast cancer. But, did you know that white (or pearl) is the color of the ribbon for Lung Cancer and November?

There are some very startling statistics relating to lung cancer with very little money being used for research and awareness.
For the month of November, I will be sharing some stats and hopefully generating some awareness of this dreadful disease. If there is enough noise, maybe research efforts will improve.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:

have already posted for the Braves) and include the picture
below.

Pink Poker Run - Have a Pint & Save a Pair!
Saturday August 28, 2021

Register at any of the five brewery locations between 1 and 3 pm
At registration, you will receive the following:
Scorecard, Rules & Regs, Brewery Map, Wristband

$25 registration fee for each scorecard/poker hand
50/50 Raffle Tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10
**PayPal, Venmo, and CashApp accepted**

Visit all 5 breweries to draw each card for your poker hand.
Look for the pink tent!

**3 Prizes Up For Grabs!**
1. Grand Prize for Best Hand
2. 50/50 Raffle

A few notes:
* Lost Druid will do last call at 2:30, closing at 3, so make this your first or second stop.
* Three Taverns is giving all registered participants $1 off each beer purchased - show your wrist band!

* Little Cottage is donating $1 for all full beer pours all day Saturday!

Our fifth and final brewery highlight is an exciting one!
The Little Cottage Brewery is located at 120 Olive St in Avondale Estates. They are a newer establishment in A.E. and they are definitely a do-not-miss spot! The Two Little Mice stout and the new Beyond the Pale are absolutely delicious!
Little Cottage Brewery is also hosting a low country boil with food truck friends Atl Seafood Bags! They'll be serving up some tasty om nom noms all day Saturday.
Little Cottage has graciously donated merchandise AND crowlers of YOUR choice to our grand prize package PLUS they are donating $1 for every full beer pour on Saturday directly to The Georgia 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer!

We'd like to share a little bit about Atlanta's own Three Taverns Brewery. Located at 121 New St, this brewery boasts an array of locally crafted brews such as the famous Lord Gray and A Night on Ponce. And holy cow y'all, the new Basileus is pouring nicely! The outdoor seating area at Three Taverns is just perfect for sipping and sunning.

Not only do they have a huge selection of Georgia-crafted brews, but this Saturday is going to be a particularly fun day at The Growler!
The Bizarre Bazaar will be taking place starting at 4:00pm. Talented local artists and vendors come together with unique style and one-of-a-kind pieces.
Does it get any better? Yes, it does! GRILLED CHEESE SAMMICHES!
That's right! You can peruse the Bizarre Bazaar market and grab a yummy sandwich from Bizarre Bazaar vendor Fromage Grille. (Don't forget to be at Little Cottage at 5 to turn in your scorecard so we can announce the winner!)
