True story:
We got a frantic call Monday morning from David saying "I think all the files on our server are encrypted!". Ransomware attack!
This photo shows the altered file names and extensions locked by the ransomware's encryption. No files on the server could be opened and the business couldn't function.
The company will likely be down for 5-7 business days while servers get rebuilt and patched and we find a clean .
Why did this SMALL COMPANY get RANSOMWARE? Management said "why would hackers go after a small company?", that they didn't want to spend the money on additional protection and were willing to take the risk.
