HoG's nonprofit pharmacy provides convenient home delivery of clotting factor and other medications at competitive prices. In addition, HoG provides trusted resources for medical providers and rewarding opportunities for volunteers and donors. Bleeding disorders are chronic conditions. It is important to track chronic conditions to better manage them and receive the best care possible. Keeping accurate records of bleeds, infusions, and other medications can help identify patterns and help your care provider determine if you need a change in treatment, thereby preventing future problems. Meet Billy John Toussaint, a proud 2024 John Youtsey Memorial Scholarship recipient, and future math educator. Last week, HoG Outreach Nurses were responsible for 33 in-home infusions across the state—we believe that is a record number of infusions performed in one week by our nurses! We are thankful to our dedicated outreach nurses who always rise-up and answer the call by helping to provide high-quality, comprehensive care for our patients throughout the state. A big and special thank you to the Winder Fire Department for coming to Hemophilia of Georgia's and joining in the fun by cooling our campers off with their firehose! Everyone had a blast…literally! Hemophilia of Georgia is proud to hold Camp Wannaklot, the only camp in Georgia specifically designed for children with bleeding disorders, in the beautiful, natural surroundings of our host facility, Camp Twin Lakes at Will-A-Way.
Are we having fun yet? From swimming and sliding to canoeing on the lake, fishing, wood burning, horseback riding, ziplining, playing the bongos, and making new friends, campers are having a blast on day four of Camp Wannaklot, the only camp in Georgia specifically designed for children with bleeding disorders! Hemophilia of Georgia is proud to hold in the beautiful, natural surroundings of our host facility, Camp Twin Lakes at Will-A-Way.
