The Atlanta MALIKs and Melodies had such an awesome time today at our 2023 community service event with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. We got to serve the Atlanta Community and fellowship with the Tennessee State Atlanta Alumni Chapter and several other community organizations.
Here are some important statistics to keep in mind: 1 in 10 children in our service area will go hungry tonight. In our service area, more than 525,000 people are projected to be food insecure. 1 in 12 neighbors in our service area are food insecure. The Atlanta Community Food Bank (“ACFB”) works with nearly 700 nonprofit food distribution partners, including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers and more. In ACFB’s fiscal year ended June 30, 2023, they distributed over 100 million meals to people in need.
In total, the Atlanta MALIKs, Atlanta Melodies, and our group assisted with 5,500 lbs of food today which equates to over 4,600 meals in Georgia. Looking forward to our continued partnership with . Happy Holidays everyone!
