Our Story

The East Cobb Lions Club celebrates it's 60th anniversary in 2018. We are an active and growing group of service-minded women and men who are interested in improving our community. Our members cover every generation, Gen X, Boomer, Millennial, and Silents. We are a 100% non-profit organization that raises money to benefit the blind and visually impaired, and local communities in Cobb County, GA. Our proceeds support projects such as the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, the Georgia Lighthouse for the Blind, free vision screenings, eye exams and surgeries, diabetes awareness, scholarships for 6 high schools in the east Cobb area, and much more.

We have a very active vision screening program that screened over 10,000 students in the fall of 2017. We visited 32 elementary, middle and high schools in Cobb County and met 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th grade students. We were able to provide over 200 professional eye exams and eye wear for students who were not able to receive those services through private insurance, financial ability, and or other programs or resources available from the school.

Visit us at www.eastcobblions.club for more information about who we are and what we do. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month for dinner at 7 P.M. Click on the meeting tab for our current location. We’d love to meet you and have you meet us.
