Thanks to guest Master Mechanic Neal Turner Dora the Stag has fancy new navy wool carpet!

Out with the old and in with the new. On another front the fuzzy door seals made with metal are more like the originals BUT after taking an hour to install one door last night I’ll be going plastic in the future!

Tonight in Torque City
- Lower rubber boots for Stag shifter
- Woodwork for console
- Passenger door handle replacement
- Prime Herald Radio Console

Day 6 Dora Carpet and Seats: The wood surrounding the shifter needs to be replaced with one from a manual car. Today I removed the burl veneer. In three places the next layer came off. Billy Ray suggested using JB Weld instead of wood filler to even the surface. It’s applied and drying. Sanding soon!

Day 5 Dora Seat and Carpet. I’m converting the shifting wood piece to a manual one. The rectangular hole is from the original auto box. Thanks Theo for sending this piece from The Netherlands. Frank Po**ck told me about a wood shop five miles away. I picked up a 1’ x 8’ roll of cherry veneer. I’ll stain and use this on the piece from Theo. Later I can do the rest of the dash.
