What a great and fun way of celebrating a 7 th birthday! 🎉🎁🎈
This cute and happy girl asked her parents to celebrate her birthday this year in Café Vendôme kitchen! Since her early age she used to watch our pastry chef’s culinary show through the glass window.

This time she was an enthusiastic Mini-Chef preparing French Madeleines and Coconut Macarons with her closed friends in her dream kitchen.
After the baking, all her friends and family enjoyed eating the pastries they made along with a delicious Royal Swiss Chocolate Mousse cake.

It was an amazing and fun experience for all of us.

Quiche is a French tart consisting of pastry crust filled with savoury custard and pieces of cheese, meat or vegetables.

In Café Vendôme we frequently bake two kinds of quiches: Mushroom Onion and Zucchini Goat Cheese. The taste is just amazing! You must try it if you did not already !

We are looking for an ambitious Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.

A great prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job.

The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.

Responsibilities

Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Undertake basic cooking duties such as omelette or sandwich preparation , parboiling food etc.
Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properlyComply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the pastry chef
