Grace Midtown

Together, inviting all humans to become awake to God. We gather together every Sunday and throughout the city, in homes [a.k.a House Churches], during the week.

At the core, we are a modern-day expression of the early church movement, "continuing with one mind in the Temple, breaking bread from house to house, and taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. The Lord was adding to their number daily those who were being saved.”
–Acts 2

Sunday recap!! 💛

Join us this Sunday at 10am!

We are kick off our summer series called “Tabernacle”.

Sabbath comes from the Hebrew word 'shabbat' meaning “to rest” or “to cease.”

We live in a time that values the endless pursuit of more – more money, more time, more experiences, more passport stamps, more square footage, and on and on.

The biblical practice of Sabbath is an invitation for us to simply rest or cease from the endless pursuit of more, and instead to cultivate the fruits of gratitude, contentment, and delight.

It’s an invitation to choose to receive our life as a gift from a Good Giver and to remember that we are human beings before we are human doings.

Easter Sunday recap 💐

04/09/2023

“Listen! My beloved! Look! Here he comes, leaping across the mountains, bounding over the hills. My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Look! There he stands behind our wall, gazing through the windows, peering through the lattice. My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.””

‭‭Song of Songs‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today we remember and reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In honor of Dr. King’s birthday some members of our community went on a prayer walk around English Avenue, the neighborhood next to our church property, and a place with deep roots in the civil rights movement. Praying God’s Kingdom here in Atlanta and in our day.

“Love is the greatest force in the universe. It is the heartbeat of the moral cosmos. He who loves is a participant in the being of God.”

MLK Day Prayer Walk // JAN. 16TH - 11AM // To continue the spirit and legacy of Dr. King’s work in this city, we will be gathering a group to prayer walk English Avenue and to pray for peace, justice and reconciliation in our local neighborhood, and particularly that God would strengthen and encourage the local churches in the community as well as Peace Prep Academy. We will have some guided prayer prompts as we walk through the neighborhood. All students + kids are welcome to join us!

THIS SUNDAY // Come join us for a worship night at 7pm as we enter our 24/7 Prayer week!

09/22/2022

VISION SUNDAY // Every year we set aside a special Sunday to talk about our vision for the coming season. This is a time to remember who God has called us to be as a church, and where we sense he is leading us. We also want to be people of vision, so this is a great Sunday to receive inspiration and encouragement as we seek God’s direction for our individual lives as well. Mark you calendar and see you this Sunday, September 25th!!

09/16/2022

Rooted in our value of “plumb the depths,” we are feeling the invitation of the Spirit as a church to enter into a season focusing on prayer. We believe that prayer is so important that it is worth scheduling time to do it.

We are doing just that as a community by hosting a week of 24-7 Prayer where we will be covering every hour of the week from October 2 to October 9 in prayer. Will you join us?
