Hope Givers is a 501(c)3 that creates edutainment to help transform mental health, equity, and well-being for all. Programming has included the award-winning feature film "Holden On", PBS LearningMedia Documentary Series "Hope Givers", and our Hope Givers Music Festival.

Last Saturday, we hosted our holiday fundraiser at GPB Studios in Atlanta, GA. It was a night filled with stories of hope, resilience and connectedness. Thank you so much to our donors, funders and supporters who made it such an incredible evening.

In this week's episode, Chatejah George, the world’s youngest Black female film studio owner, shares her personal experiences and highlights the importance of goal setting, managing obstacles, and never giving up on one's dreams. Episode 2, Part 2: Charleese Williams, the recipient of the 2021 Rising Black Scientist Award, discusses healthy coping strategies for dealing with her mental health challenges as well as leading the way for representation in STEM fields. With unwavering strength and resilience, Charleese empowers others to seek help and support. Episode themes include mental health advocacy, depression, goal setting, and self-care affirmations.
Episode 2 PBS HOPE GIVERS this Saturday, October 14th (7 a.m.) on WABE ATL PBS. In this Spanish-speaking episode, Katya Echazarreta, the first Mexican-born and youngest female astronaut shows the importance of gender equality, inclusion, and having a trusted adult as she manages her own mental health challenges in her incredible journey to space and beyond. Episode themes include anxiety, resilience, inclusion, and setting goals for career readiness. Musical guest is Alejandra.
SEASON 2 PBS HOPE GIVERS premieres this Saturday, October 7th, at 7 a.m. on WABE ATL. Part 2 of Episode 1: Amplifying Atlanta. Alexia Jones is proof that recovery is possible. Through her nonprofit R2ISE, Alexia leads her team and participants toward a powerful and inspiring future that brings hope and ignites a spark of change in the lives of those battling addiction and seeking recovery.
SEASON 2 PBS HOPE GIVERS premieres this Saturday, October 7th, at 7 a.m. on WABE ATL. Tyler Gordon, a 16-year-old painting prodigy, has painted for celebrities such as LeBron James, Janet Jackson, and Vice President Kamala Harris. Tyler admits that he struggles with bullying and mental health challenges but exhibits resilience through proper goal-setting and coping strategies. WABE

Tyler went viral with his freehand portrait of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and has created works of art for an array of influencers and celebrities. Behind the scenes of our 2nd day of filming our original Emmy Award winning series, Hope Givers. On this episode, we highlight the story of Avery Dixon, saxophone extraordinaire. Born at only 1lb 8oz with many complications, Avery has overcame every obstacle & found solace in his instrument. Stay tuned for season 2 for a deeper look into his story. ✌️
Yesterday, we did a Hope Givers LIVE! Event at Calhoun Middle-High School in Edison, Georgia. We spoke to the entire student body about; mental health and mental wellness, su***de prevention, resiliency, goal setting, and more! We also allowed the students to celebrate a teacher that has showed them hope & kindness. Calhoun Middle-High school, we had a great time! Shouts out to our partners United Way of Southwest Georgia
This past weekend, Hope Givers traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the LEAD Spark convention held by the NASSP. We got to meet students, educators and administrators from all over the world committed to uplifting student voices. We heard stories from students about their trusted adults making a difference in their community. Hope Givers had an exhibit table where we streamed the Emmy award-winning first season of our series, gave away merch, and spread the Hope Givers message.
