Ruth (Renee) Hartz, is a dedicated Holocaust speaker addressing tolerance, prejudice, and discrimination.

As a young girl ages 4 to 7, she was hidden with her family in southern France during World War II. She and her family were sheltered by local villagers, and she spent time in a small Catholic convent to avoid capture by both the Vichy French Police and the Gestapo. Through resourcefulness and unusually good fortune, she and her parents survived and returned to Paris after the war. Her childhood memoir, ”Your Name Is Renee”; was published by the Oxford University Press. Ruth’s story was also developed by David & Jenny Heitler-Klevans into the musical, “Hidden,” which debuted in May 2023.

Join us on March 17th at 2:00 PM for an unforgettable experience with Ruth.

Eternal Life-Hemshech

Eternal Life-Hemshech, Inc. was formed on September 3, 1964 by Holocaust survivors who settled in the metropolitan Atlanta area. Their primary goal was to build a monument that would memorialize their six million brethren who were murdered by the N**is during World War II.

Because they had no gravesites to visit, the survivors also needed a place to grieve their personal losses and recite the Kaddish (the Jewish memorial prayer) for their loved ones lost in the Holocaust.

They dedicated their monument on April 25, 1965. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 21, 2008.
