The Atlanta Area Council Volunteer Service Center, located at 1800 Circle 75 Pkwy, Atlanta, Georgia, is the operations center for all of the Council's activities throughout the year. Led by Scout Executive/CEO Tracy Techau, the Atlanta Area Council covers 13 metro-Atlanta Counties: Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Haralson, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Rockdale.

Congratulations to Lalith Silva on receiving the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award!
Professionally, Lalith is a Research Chemist for the CDC and became a Scout leader when his son joined Cub Scouts in 2006. After crossing over into Troop 15, Lalith became the unit's an Advancement Chair and Life to Eagle advisor, helping several youth attain the rank of Eagle Scout. Since 2017, Lalith has served as the Hightower Trail Advancement Chair and currently serves as the Assistant District Commissioner and a Unit Commissioner. In these roles, he has done a remarkable job supporting units facing challenges in membership and program by engaging parents and training leaders to bolster the units. Thank you Lalith for your service to Scouting and congratulations!

Randy is the President and CEO of Batson-Cook Construction and joined the Atlanta Area Council Board of Directors in 2019. During his time on the Board, Randy has served on the Sporting Clays Committee and has chaired the event since 2021 helping raise over a million dollars in funds for Atlanta area Scouting. Randy also plays a vital role on the Skilled Trades Workshop Committee, looking to connect funders to our new workshop at Woodruff Scout Camp. Thank you Randy for your service to Scouting and congratulations!

We are pleased to announce that Kiondre Dunnam will be joining the Atlanta Area Council as a District Executive. Kiondre will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of service to Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, and Venturing Crews. His responsibilities include support for our youth recruiting efforts and fundraising including Friends of Scouting, the Trailâs End Popcorn sale and the Camp Card sale.
Kiondre graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Middle Grades Education. He spent six years in the classroom and has spent the past two years in strategic partnership and community engagement for a family business.

Please join us in congratulating Mellarie Bolaños on her 2-year anniversary with the Atlanta Area Council! Mellarie rejoined the Atlanta Area Council in 2022 as a Program Specialist.
Mellarie is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and retired from the United States Army after 30 years of service. She began volunteering with her son in Pack 963 in the Southern Crescent District who is now a Scout in Troop 963. Mellarie attributes her love for hiking, camping, and fishing to the Army and Scouting.

Congratulations to Nick Brooks on receiving the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award!
Nick currently serves as the Scoutmaster of Troop 1906 in East Point and has been involved in Scouting since becoming a Den Leader for Pack 1030 in 2014. During this time he has shown exceptional dedication to providing underrepresented youth with opportunities to enjoy the Scouting program. This past summer he was one of two adult leaders who guided a crew of Scouts on the Scoutreach-sponsored Sea Base trek. In addition to his service to Scouting, Nick is a strong environmental advocate and supporter of organizations like Chattahoochee River Keepers, Greening Youth, and Black Outside. Thank you Nick for your service to Scouting and congratulations!

We are pleased to announce that Anna Kimberly will be joining the Atlanta Area Council as a District Executive. Anna will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of service to Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, and Venturing Crews. Anna graduated from Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia with a degree in Performing Arts and then went on to earn her Master of Public Administration. She was previously the Outreach Coordinator and Admissions Representative at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. She has also been a part of volunteer boards for Hemophilia of Georgia, assisting with advocacy and working with youth at the annual summer camp.
