At every school, there's a dedicated facilitator who bridges the gap between students and Georgia Virtual School, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience. These facilitators guide students through enrollment, coordinate with local tech support to optimize computer setups, and ensure all necessary assessments are arranged.

Student Spotlight - Meet Samuel:
Samuel is one of the most impressive students I have had over my 4 years with GaVS. He is extremely dedicated to learning and always puts forth 100% effort. He did so well in my course that I joked that he could easily teach the content to others. Samuel's Capstone Project was nothing short of amazing. He applied the content of Geometry to one of his passions in life, theater, to discuss proportions and ratios for a set designer for a musical production of Jack and the Beanstalk. His communication with me was always polite, grammatically correct, and included a greeting and a thank you. Samuel made grading his assignments easy as he always showed his work in an organized manner. Nominating him for the Student Spotlight was a no-brainer!

Today is the Summer Solstice with it taking place for the Northern Hemisphere at 4:51 pm EDT. It marks the official start to summer and is the longest day of the year.
Commemorating Juneteenth - Why is it called Juneteenth?
Celebrating Flag Day! On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress approved the design of the Stars and Stripes as our official national flag. In 1916, President Wilson proclaimed June 14th as Flag Day, honoring this significant moment in our history.
Student Spotlight – Meet Rahdeed:
Rahdeed is an outstanding Georgia Virtual School student. He is the type of student that our program was designed to serve well. He takes all of his classes with GaVS, chooses rigorous courses, and excels in every one of them. He learns all he can absorb in the hours of the day. He goes above and beyond the requirements for assignments and projects demonstrating research, depth of knowledge, and critical thinking. In addition, he gives much back to the program and to his classmates. He is willing to participate, share insights, and encourage others in Live Learning classes and in Discussions. He is intuitive and shows empathy in his responses. Rahdeed is focused on long-term career goals, but still finds time to pursue his passion for music, art, and African History. Rahdeed is humble, self-motivated, inspires others, and does not seek recognition, but he is deserving of the spotlight.
