The storm knocked a branch of my daughter’s hydrangea tree but I managed to rescue the blooms. How many flower frogs are enough?

Everything but my beautiful crabapple tree came out today. After twenty five years, time for a refresh! Perkins Tree service did an amazing job. Highly recommend.

My brother-in-law’s Mother, Irma, made the Santa pitcher, mugs and glasses. I bought them from her estate when she passed away from Covid this spring. I will treasure them and think of her each Christmas when I put them out.

When you have three daughters, you can go pink for Christmas. My daughters collection grows a little each year. A little Xmas styling while I wait for the girls school bus.

How I decorate my own home: a dear friend gifted me this lovely purple and white plate, knowing I love purple and have purple thistles on my “formal” dinnerware. I went antiquing to find some oyster plates which I had decided would be perfect on the sconces in my dining room. No luck but I did find this vintage jadeite green shutter. Sooo, pulled out some purple accessories, mixed in some Jadiete, new dining room centerpiece. Now to redo my China hutch! 🙄

Found this bark trivet at a cute little decor store in Dahlonega. Wasn’t sure what I would do with it but I really liked it and under $20. Fits perfectly in my to***co basket, guess it was meant to be!

Donned my hard hat to see the progress at Williams Teusink’s new offices and event space in Decatur First Methodist Chapel and preschool. Maybe HHM and I will renew our vows in the chapel when the renovation is complete🤣. Makes this Mama proud that this beautiful chapel is being preserved!

Just a few of the treasures I picked up virtually shopping an Estate Sale with Mary Britt Turner! These were made by her mother-in-law so have sentimental value, as well. I’ve never come across the Santa drinking glasses before! Is it Christmas yet? I don’t want to pack them away!

Tape, paint, wash brush, wait for paint to dry and repeat. Again and again and again... we did a barn quilt trail in Indiana a few years ago and have wanted to try my hand at it ever since.
