Inside the 2018 Cashiers Designer Showhouse, designer Janie Wilburn honored the European chĆ¢teau-style home and its setting by accentuating the existing paneling in her tailored primary suite. Within the panels, find a scenic grasscloth, Treasure Flower, depicting fish and lily pads in pale blue-green for a subtle yet sophisticated reference. A canopy of silk carries the same luster and opalescence of the wallcovering, enveloping the bed in a smooth cocoon. So as not to compete with the pastoral view, a glass-and-metal light fixture designed by offered a modern interpretation of a gilt crystal chandelier. In the bathroom, the freestanding sink with brass legs shares space with an antique vanity.ā

to the 2020. I loved our winter wonderland breakfast room and kitchen. Drapery and wall covering from , antiques from Scottās and art made this space ethereal. For me this is the hard thing about show houses thoughāthey are temporary and live only in pictures and memories. This yearās house is open and I canāt wait to see what holiday magic my designer friends have dreamed up!
Neutral patterns and tones of teal working hard in this multi-family game space.
Happy Veterans Day to all who have served, especially my dad, Retired SFC Robert Wilburn. His service taught me a love of country, and I have had the privilege of watching him live the values of a US Army soldierārespect, duty, loyalty, selfless service and personal courage my entire life. Being the daughter of a soldier also afforded a childhood living abroad and experiencing other cultures. We were in Germany when the Berlin Wall came down (first two photos, second of which my baby sister was practicing her best Jessica Rabbit!!). I still have a piece of that rubble and it is to me a reminder of both these times and what it means to me an American šŗšø ā¤ļøš¤š. Thank you Dad
This art has been collected over time and hangs at random in our West studio. I found the antique Italian chair at after we moved in and knew the space needed just one more thing! Swipe to see the best addition though!
Equal parts thrilled to see the space my friend and I made into an inspiring studio and to see my darling girl in print.
Thank you for featuring our office in the November issue and for capturing our work and Juniper!
I always encourage clients to bring back souvenirs from their travel to use as decor that has meaning to them. Understanding the assignment brought this tiny alabaster vase from Tuscany. Itās darling, keys off the backsplash and, they watched the artisan turn it in minutes.
We have all the things in this install-ready office. Our client is worried heās not gonna be able to work in this officeāššš¤£ācue the curtains !

This is Joyce! We met at the 2020 in my favorite Krypton kitchen. We talked a lot that day about kitchens, design, that fantastically ethereal blue ā”ļø, and Christmas decor. As I was thinking about this years room I thought about all the people I met and how these show houses are meant to inspire. When Joyce walked in with her daughter the moment was poignantly full circle for me. She told me sheās remodeling her kitchen and used that kitchen as her inspiration. TBH it made me tear up!
The2022 opens today! We loved designing this beautiful living room combining classic shapes, rich antiques and meaningful art. Thank you to all of our vendors who have been generous in supporting our efforts, which ultimately raises money for
