On August 23, 2023, our beloved, Melanie D. Wofford, transitioned. We are coming together to celebrate her life and legacy. Melanie’s Memorial Service is on Sunday, September 17th at 3pm. Melanie was loved by many, and she gave love to many. To lessen the burden on Melanie’s son, we are seeking to raise funds to assist with the memorial celebration and other expenses. All remaining funds will go directly to Melanie’s son Jordan Wofford and her grandson Julian.

For donations of $100 or more, the donor will receive a lovely commemorative t-shirt (featuring a beautiful picture of Melanie) honoring her legacy. T-shirts will be mailed to out-of-town donors. Cleopas R. Johnson Park is under adoption!!! Please support this awesome space in the heart of the AUC. We need caring community members and volunteers to join our Friends of the Park Group.
