Dr. Alford, a 2024 Castle Connolly Top Doctor, has been a vital part of the MetroDerm family since 2011. She specializes in Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology, seeing patients at our Atlanta – Sandy Springs and Hiram locations.

Dr. Alford's impressive journey began with her graduation from Spelman College and earning her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 2002. During medical school, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and received the Dean’s Scholarship. Dr. Alford was also deeply involved in Dermatological research with Emory's Department of Dermatology.

After completing her Dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2006, Dr. Alford made numerous presentations at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Alford is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Atlanta Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.
