Homes for Homeless Veterans Campaign Kicks Off With $200,000 In Donations
ReStart320 and Crossroads Ministries kicked off their two year $1,000,000 campaign to reduce homelessness for metro Atlanta’s military veterans earlier this month with two $100,000 donations.
Atlanta Investment Properties made an initial donation of $100,000, and Investment Resource Partners followed up with a second donation of $100,000 at their annual investor dinner at Cherokee Town & Country Club.
Investment Resource Partners is managed by Jay Young, a long time Atlanta commercial real estate investor and co-managing broker of Hailey Realty. Several years ago Jay created Investment Resource Partners (IRP). IRP’s mission is not only to generate great returns for their investors, but to also support local Christian centered non- profits at a meaningful level and promote investment back into the community.
IRP allocates 10% of the profits from each investment into a donor fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta. Each year IRP engages their investors in the charity selection process in the hopes it will create a contagious giving environment.
The goal of the Crossroads and ReStart320 campaign is to raise $1,000,000 to purchase five homes between 2023 and 2024. Homes will be purchased within three to five miles of Crossroads ministry’s facility at 420 Courtland Avenue, in downtown Atlanta, allowing Crossroads to provide case management services to the veteran residents of the homes.
Atlanta Investment Properties will provide assistance in the identification and purchase of the homes and Padsplit will assist in the renovation and conversion of the homes into co-living environments when required.
Anyone interested in getting involved or becoming a partner to purchase homes for homeless veterans can visit the ReStart320 website or email Daniel Levison at [email protected] or call us at 404-358-3547.
