This beauty has been in the salon a few times now, and is already catching on so fast 🥹

She doesn’t want to go into this industry (totes fine w me!) but she’s already learning so much about “simple” day to day things.

Conversing w adults. Learning how to read a room. Learning to anticipate what needs to be done. Introducing herself and enunciating.

These might seem small, but lawwddd I’ve met plenty of adults who can’t look you in the eye, give a firm handshake, speak up etc

It thrills me that at almost 14, she’s getting to experience a taste of this thing called life, while also soaking up being a teenager AND seeing her mama in business mode🥰

Move ups with me consist of taking EVERYTHING out and putting it back in👌🏼

New beads, new thread, fresh sectioning, same hair 👊🏼

No I don’t just open up the bead, slide it up, and call it a day.

You’re essentially getting a brand new install at every move up appt, minus the brand new install price 😘

These services don’t take as long, because we’re not remapping the head (unless we agree for a placement change), and I’m not cutting. (That was done at the initial appt)

You don’t have to come freshly washed to move up appts either.

If you’re going out that day and want a style that you don’t want to either pay for or spend more time in the salon (wash, dry, style add on service), you can come clean+dry and I’ll curl/smooth to your hearts desire 💕

Typical time for move up is 30-35 minutes per row. The better you take care of your hair, the quicker these services will be🤍

To all of my clients keeping me laughing hysterically, I am forever grateful for the giggles 🤭

I grew my hair out for the sole reason to be able to relate to my clients in every way. Home maintenance, flexible install, comfortability etc

My first go with wearing extensions (not done by her) was so painful. They were incredibly tight and took chunks out of my already non existent hair 😢

Her and I both got certified through a different method, super advanced at the time, and the difference was night and day. Extremely flexible, comfortable, and I had more options with styling.

All that to say, I STILL had limitations. My “thyroid hair” is painfully thin and it was still difficult at times to make sure the top row was covered. I HAD to spend 5 minutes (big whoop) in the mornings to make sure my hair wasn’t split in the back and showing the weft.

I brushed throughout the day. Oiled daily. Slept on a silk pillowcase. And shampooed once maybe twice a week.

I’m super low maintenance when it comes to my morning routines, and this really wasn’t an issue to have extra hair to “take care of”

We averaged coloring my hair every 6ish months. So again, low maintenance.

My move ups averaged around 10ish weeks. Again, low maintenance

I LOVED my long hair. Just prefer myself w short hair. It gives me the ability to throw a wig on when I want length again and take it off when I dont.

All this to say, your girl who has maybe a half inch of hair KNOWS what you’re experiencing with your extensions. I’ve been there. And I promise you, the “maintenance” that comes w wearing them, isn’t “high maintenance” at all.

It can provide an instant boost in confidence-fullness-length-and the ultimate hair flip 😎

I have zero regrets about wearing them and wouldn’t dream of growing out my hair again without having them as an option-bc again, thyroid hair😅
