Are you a beginner runner or walker with a goal of completing a 5K this fall and looking for guidance in your training? Then the In-Training for Fall Beginners 5K program is for you!

This program is intended for both beginner runners and walkers and combines structured workouts whether training at home or as a group at Atlanta Track Club headquarters. It is designed for beginner athletes with the goal of participating in and finishing their first 5K road race, the 2024 Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day 5K!

EXCITING NEWS! 🎉 The PNC Atlanta Mile & Dash on Saturday, October 19 will now be FREE for kids! Thanks to the support of PNC Bank, runners ages 14 & under can now be a part of the action during PNC Atlanta 10 Miler and 5K weekend at no cost.

At the Wingfoot XC Classic on September 21, the Golden Shoe contest returns for all runners and spectators!

Here’s how it works 👇

Six golden shoes will be hidden throughout Sam Smith Park throughout the day, three for the morning races and three for the evening. When you find one of the shoes, be sure to bring it to the stage to redeem an adidas/Atlanta Track Club backpack!

Today's fact comes from 1971, the year the Peachtree started to grow and Jimmy Carter was official starter!

Today and every day, we honor and remember the innocent lives lost in the tragic events on September 11, 2001.

This past Saturday, we hosted the inaugural Firefighter 5K, an event dedicated to honoring the fallen heroes and supporting those who continue to serve. Held the weekend before 9/11, the race is a tribute to their unwavering dedication. We are committed to making this an annual tradition, ensuring that their legacy is never forgotten.

In 2023, Frank McDonald approached the start line of the Invesco QQQ Thanksgiving Day Half marathon thinking about only one goal: finishing in under two hours. Of the 31 half marathons he had completed before that day, six were sub-2:00 but - no matter how hard he tried - it had been four years since he'd broken that barrier.

Knowing he needed guidance and accountability to change that outcome, he joined the In-Training for Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon program.

Football season is back and so is the Mercedes-Benz Stadium 5K/Walk Like MADD! 🏈

Registration is now open for the 5K, Mile, and Dash which will all end on the field in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on November 16. All 5K participants will receive this medal, a t-shirt, and an incredible race day experience you can't find anywhere else!
