Greg Leopard Law Firm Personal Injury Claims, Criminal Cases + Domestic Matters
It’s Friday the 13th ... in 2020. Good luck today, y’all.
We absolutely love it when our clients (or their mamas) show their appreciation with food! Especially when it’s a red velvet cake that is ridiculously delicious!!!
Mediation is a great tool used to get domestic cases settled (in full or partly) prior to a hearing on the matter. Mediation is usually less formal, and therefore less stressful for our clients, than a hearing. Because of COVID-19, it's now more helpful than ever to move cases along in our courtroom-restricted judicial system.
Call our office today to speak with Mr. Leopard about your rights/options in your domestic case. (706)724-7511
Zoom Mediation Is Close to the Real Thing—and Better in One Key Way | Daily Report When you negotiate in person, it can be physically impossible to watch the reaction of everyone in the room at the same time. Zoom, on the other hand, gives you a side-by-side feed, so you can see the facial and upper body language of several people at once.
Here's hoping that we can get our judicial system back on track soon.
If you've got a case pending in GA that's been stalled out due to the Emergency Judicial Orders in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, call our office to see what Mr. Leopard can do for you.

The Supreme Court Chief Justice has extended the Statewide Judicial Emergency Order through October 10, 2020.

The US House of Representatives will vote later this month on whether to decriminalize ma*****na at the federal level. The House is the lower level of the US Congress; the Senate is the upper level. If the Act passes the House, it will be sent to the Senate for voting.
The MORE Act would remove ma*****na from the federal list of controlled substances and expunge some ma*****na-related criminal records; though it would still be up to individual states to pass their own regulations on the sale of ma*****na. It would also eliminate criminal penalties for anyone who manufactures, distributes or possesses ma*****na.
Though the House was originally set to vote on the MORE Act Monday, September 21, 2020, according to the House calendar, the vote has been postponed until Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
Most of the immediate Augusta area (Richmond, Columbia & Burke Counties) is included in Georgia's 12th Congressional District; however, our close neighbors in Louisville, Wrens, Thomson and Lincolnton reside in the 10th Congressional District. You can find (and contact) your representative at the link below, and share with them your feelings on the upcoming vote for the MORE Act.
