Hope House

We help Georgia families break the cycles of substance use and homelessness, and get a real second chance at life. They do not occur in a vacuum.

Treating substance use disorders is complicated. There are underlying factors that contribute to these conditions. Hope House offers services to the most vulnerable segments of our population: those who suffer from substance use and co-existing mental health disorders, homelessness, and children who have parents with these conditions. ๐ŸŒฑ A Glimpse into the Future of Caitlin's Corner ๐ŸŒฑ

Today, we share with you the "before" state of a space that holds immense potential - a canvas awaiting transformation into Caitlin's Corner. This area, once an overlooked part of our campus, is set to become a haven of joy, reflection, and community for the women and children at Hope House.

Our dream for Caitlin's Corner is bold and beautiful, but its realization hinges on reaching our fundraising goal. Without the necessary funds, we can't begin the transformation, especially the crucial step of pouring a concrete pad that will turn this space into a year-round sanctuary, free from mud and weather constraints.

๐Ÿš€ Our Immediate Goal: To kickstart this transformation, we're aiming for a mini-goal of $3,000 by the end of the weekend.

Achieving this will pave the way for the many changes we envision:

+ Pouring Concrete: Creating a solid, versatile foundation that opens up countless possibilities for the space.
+ Upgrading Patio Furniture: Introducing durable, welcoming rocking chairs that Caitlin loved, offering comfort and a sense of peace.
+ Adding Picnic Tables: Enabling gatherings where stories are shared, and connections are made, enhancing the community spirit.

Hereโ€™s how you can be a part of this transformation:

+ Donate: Every dollar brings us closer to our vision. Your support can turn this dream into reality. www.hopehouseaugusta.org/caitlin
+ Spread the Word: Share our vision with your friends and family. The more people join us, the quicker we can transform Caitlin's Corner. We need 25 people to donate $20 to get us to our weekend goal.
+ Connect with Us: We'd love to hear what this project means to you. Your encouragement inspires us all.

Together, we can ensure Caitlin's Corner blossoms into a space that embodies hope, laughter, and the spirit of community. Let's make this weekend count. Join us in laying the groundwork for a place where every moment is a tribute to Caitlinโ€™s legacy.

๐Ÿ’– With heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support. Together, we can make a difference.

๐Ÿ‘ถ As new life begins, we're reminded of the love and care each child deserves from their very first car ride. Hope House proudly supports new mothers in their journey, but we need your help!

We are urgently seeking donations of infant car seats for new mothers who are set to welcome their little ones into the world in the next 2 weeks. These resilient women, despite facing financial challenges, are determined to provide the best for their babies. Yet, something as essential as a car seat remains out of reach.

A car seat is not just a requirement; it's a newborn's companion ensuring safety from the very first trip home. Itโ€™s about providing these mothers and their newborns with dignity, safety, and hope.

๐Ÿ“Your generosity can pave the way for new beginnings. Consider contributing an infant car seat to support our mothers-to-be. We welcome car seats that are gently used, as long as they have a minimum of 2 years remaining before the expiration date.

To arrange your donation drop-off, please email us at [email protected]

Or you can conveniently order from our Amazon Wishlist to have it shipped to us! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1MS0GCWX63ATM?ref_=wl_share

Let's strap in and join forces to secure a safe and hopeful start for these babies. Your kindness can steer a family's life towards a brighter road.

Today, we want to share more about Caitlin Harbin-Gould, the incredible person at the heart of Caitlin's Corner. Caitlin possessed a soul that drew people to her, a beacon of light in any darkness. Her presence made tough situations bearable, embodying the belief that laughter is possible anywhere, anytime. Caitlin's laugh wasn't just heard; it was felt.

Caitlin's life was a testament to courage, facing substance use disorder with remarkable strength and determination. Committed to her recovery, she dreamed of making a tangible difference at Hope Houseโ€”the very place that marked the start of her recovery journey. Caitlin was living proof that recovery not only is real but also allows for a life that is rich, fun, and fully present.

Just as she was about to join our team and directly impact the lives of women at Hope House, Caitlin's journey took an unexpected turn, and she entered into eternal rest days before her start date. Despite the immense loss felt by her loved ones and our community, Caitlin's final days as a person in recovery stand as a powerful testament to her resilience and commitment to living fully.

In her honor, Caitlinโ€™s husband Cody, her parents Hope and Ben, her brother Hampton, and a community of friends and loved ones have joined forces with Hope House to create Caitlinโ€™s Corner. This space is envisioned not just as a tribute to Caitlin but as a sanctuary for laughter, comfort, and healing for all at Hope House. It's here that Caitlin's spirit and laughter will continue to inspire us, a reminder to embrace life with joy and hope.

Join us in bringing Caitlin's Corner to life. Your support extends beyond funding a project; it's a celebration of a life lived with profound love and a commitment to creating a space where hope can thrive for everyone.
