So proud of the progress of my newest apprentice ❤️

Background story: ya boy intended on becoming a college professor before he started tattooing—I run my apprenticeships at a snails-pace 🐌😅. My students not only sit in for practical study and lecturing, but go through regular art lessons, critiques—I make them write history papers for f***s sake lol 😇.

The point is that they get out of this what they put in, and is reaping the benefits of highly dedicated study during, and before she got the opportunity to finally learn the craft that she so dearly loves. She has been cooking on her assignments, writing great reports on tattoo history, working tirelessly on art prompts given to her, as well as her own flash projects, and has been practicing fake skins, and now BACON!! (pork belly simulates the responsiveness, stretch, and ink retention of human skin better than any fake skin we have on the market yet—we resort to this so that we make sure they develop and maintain good habits WAY before touching a client)

What a great experience getting to tattoo these gems of humans ❤️

I typically don’t do “couples” tattoos—too many ’what-ifs’ that occasionally results in the one or both parties coming in to ask me to cover the work I just did 😕

This was different.

This couple has so much love and appreciation for not only eachother but for the people around them, and, in this case, their fur children.

Together they came in to process the grief of losing precious cats over the years, and I was glad to oblige!!

We were honored to have you two in the studio over the last two days; the laughs, the tears, and the friendship that we formed will be cherished for years to come!! ❤️

We had an absolute blast this past weekend and we couldn’t have done it without you folks!! Come on in and snag a tattoo or piercing on yue fly!! 😃 we’re available for first come first serve clients until 8:00

Happens every once in awhile but sometimes the client and I don’t QUITE understand eachother during the consultation.

That’s not a problem!! Communication is a two way street and we always make sure that, at the end of the day, you get to walk away with the best piece of art for you!!
