One important aspect that has not changed: Compensation to your Broker has always been, and remains, negotiable. There is NO standard commission rate. This is true for Sellers & Buyers Agents.

One aspect that IS changing, is that prior to viewing homes, 🏠 a Buyer MUST have a signed ✍️ Buyer Brokerage agreement in place. This agreement outlines duties that Buyers and their Broker have to one another, and specifies what and how the Broker is to be compensated for their work. This is a federal law.

As the real estate industry adapts and changes 📈, staying informed and proactive is key. Be sure to choose to work with an experienced Broker who will be YOUR true Fiduciary, one who keeps your best interests at the forefront of the transaction.
