Lara Sell’s Merlot was Reserve Champion in the USEF 3’ Greens with Kathy Kerron at Western Family. Great job Kathy and Merlot👏🏻

We are so proud of Adelaide Hess on her success while catch riding the lovely Costaquetta. Thank you Channay Lloyd and owner Sarah Farrell for sharing your wonderful mare with Adelaide and Eche’lon. The pair had great rounds and placings in the Children’s Hunters 15-17, Children’s Equitation 15-17, and the duo piloted around Adelaide’s first derby beautifully!

Kristin Meira and Chaccuna Matata had a fantastic time at Western Family. Top placing for the pair until the Adult Amateur Hunters and Equitation as well as 🥈 in the $500 Hunter stake!

Adrian Downes’ Greenvale Dream Star and GRC Saxon were stars all week in the CWD 1m Jumpers the second week🧡

Alena Guggenheim’s On Your Mark PR and Kim MacKay had great rounds all week at West Coast Classic. 🥈 in the CWD 1m JR/AM Jumper Stake for this team!

Kate Dernbach and Sam Goody put down fantastic rounds in the .85m Jr/Am Jumpers at West Coast Classic! Great job Sam and Kate🎉

Adrian Downes had a fantastic week at Tbird on his two horses, GRC Saxon and Greenvale Dream Star. Reserve Champion in both sections of the Jr/am .90’s. Way to go Adrian !!

EQUESTRIAN WISDOM ACCORDING TO GEORGES MORRIS
- Distances are like men. Never take the first one you see, there will always be another one.
- Impulse doesn't mean forward. Impulse is thinking ahead.
- When you see distance, be obsessed with straightness. If the horse loses track, it loses the power and can no longer use its means.
- Correctness is better than speed.
- Every second you are learning something from your horse. In the right direction or wrong direction. There is no middle way out.
- Don't copy the rival riders. Y’all gotta do better.
- Dressage is the basis. If there is any concern on this level, there will also be a problem in the jump.
- I didn't have talent, but I had great ambitions. Always have the ambition.
- The horse is everything. There you go
- Everything revolves around the horse. How to take care of a horse, how to ride a horse and how to care for this big animal - the horse.
- In the beginning, it's very hard, then easier, then usual, and only after, it can become beautiful, magnificent.
- Precision - repeat over and over, this is how you will get the habit of precision. Some people think it is boring. Not me.
- It's not aeronautical engineering. You don't have to reinvent the space shuttle, keep it simple.
- You will be rewarded for your genius. Genius not reckless but natural. Don't be a sheep.
- The function is equal to the form and the form is equal to function.

ISO a few horses.
All horses must be uphill, low prep, and minimal maintenance (must be willing to share all vet history) These are all move up horses so they must have a record with junior/amateur. Willing to travel.
1. 1.15m packer that can cross over into the equitation. Petite rider, 16.1hh-16.3hh. High fives budget
2. 1m-1.10m jumper, possibly cross over into medals but not a dealbreaker. Over 16.1h. Low-mid fives budget, budget could increase with a lease to purchase
3. 1.10m+ jumper for adult moving off a hunter. Can have a some blood and be smaller build. Mid-high fives budget
4. 3’3 Hunter/medal horse. Can be quirky. Low fives budget. Lease preferred. Good opportunity for a horse that needs show miles
5. 1.30m saintly packer to do the 1.10m and 1.20m. Bigger build preferred. Geldings only. Can’t be overly sensitive.

We have some great 2’6 horses available for lease if you want to join the team but don’t have your own horse!

Corteo OHF is a 16.1h, 14yr old Warmblood gelding. “Teo” has an extensive show record as a jumper with an amateur. It’s now time for Teo to take a step down, doing flat work and trail riding with a novice rider. Would be a great introductory horse into the dressage ring. Good about going out with other horses or alone. Very in your pocket and loving. Requires some maintenance. Priced in the low 5’s
