Before joining us, Lifeng managed a family office, consistently earning over 20% returns on its investment funds yearly.

Lifeng enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and their dog outside of work. He has a passion for traveling and hiking around the world. Lifeng is a semi-professional soccer player and strives to maintain his competitiveness to keep up with Ronaldo.

If you haven't already checked, the appraised values for Williamson and Travis County properties are out! Generally, Austin residents may find relief as a dip can be observed in overall property taxes compared to the previous year!

For new homeowners: on your tax assessment report, you’ll see two statistics specific to your property - Appraised (Market) and Net Appraised (Assessed) Values. Net Appraised is the value that is ultimately used to calculate property taxes.

Protesting property taxes is especially important to homeowners who aren't qualified for the Homestead Exemption. Property taxes have become a heavier and heavier burden over these past few years, so don't be afraid to make a habit of protesting your taxes.

Statistically, only 20% of homeowners will proactively contest their appraisals, and over 60% are over-paying their property taxes. Ultimately, a lower valuation will only save the homeowner property taxes and will not adversely affect the price of future tax assessments.

Breaking News! The U.S. government is injecting $6.4 billion into Samsung's new factory in Austin to help accelerate the company's expansion. This investment aims to enhance Samsung's existing presence in the area, transforming it into a comprehensive ecosystem for leading chip development and production in the United States. On April 15, 2024, the Biden administration announced funding for Samsung to expand its chip manufacturing facility located in Taylor, North Austin. This strategic move strengthens the U.S. chip industry and bolsters the nation's technological infrastructure.

As the world's second-largest chip manufacturer, Samsung is making a significant commitment to its U.S. operations by increasing its total investment to $44 billion—more than double its current investment scale. This demonstrates Samsung's dedication to furthering innovation and growth in the region.

The new 600-acre facility began construction in January 2022 and is expected to be operational later this year. So far, Samsung's semiconductor factory has contributed $26.8 billion in economic benefits to the Austin area. This state-of-the-art semiconductor ecosystem will create 21,500 jobs and use up to $40 million in CHIPS funding to train and develop the local workforce.

This substantial investment in Austin's chip manufacturing industry represents one of the few areas of agreement between Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott and the Biden administration. The partnership exemplifies the potential for collaborative efforts to advance critical industries and drive progress.

This week, the Real International Investment Department, Construction Department, and partners jointly hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Yellow Jacket - one of the three in our flagship Opportunity Zone portfolio. This project aims to construct six modern-style single-family villas for rental purposes, with completion expected by year-end.

The Real International team led investors in the development of these three land parcels, situated in the prime area of Austin - and in close proximity to the "Project Connect" Light Rail Project funded by the city government at a cost of 7.1 billion.

Simultaneously, as all three land parcels fall within "opportunity zones," we were able to design a portfolio leveraging the policy support from the U.S. federal government and the Internal Revenue Service for "opportunity zones," exempting investors from capital gains tax for ten years, thereby ensuring maximum value retention for investors' capital.

The Opportunity Zone project not only offers investors a tax-free haven but also presents an exceptional long-term investment opportunity for achieving stable returns while minimizing risks.
