Simple Phô - Phô Facile! It figures I need to come to Paris 🤣 to decipher the “wunderkind” of Vietnamese soups - the one and only Phô Gà, or for everyone else, chicken noodle and vegetable soup! The key is to keep the soup clean of sneaky additives that are found in a lot of packaged artificial seasonings. Also many restaurants cheat and add in tons of msg to get that umami feel. This version is clean, clean, clean, super delicious, and it will never leave you feeling bloated and gross. Extra bonus, it will boost your immune system, as it’s packed with so much natural protein (chicken bone broth) and vitamins from all the fresh veggies! This is soup is 100 percent gourmet (and also gluten free - GF rice noodles) as the elegant plating is fit for a royal meal! Text me if you would like the easy-to-follow recipe. Amazing BlackBerry, Currant, and Chocolate Croissant 🥐 “pain au raison + chocolat” bread pudding in a pool of decadent Crème Anglaise! Perfect February dessert coming soon to Plate 😋! Here I was able to use pastries from the Merci Jérôme Ternes pastry shop on 270 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Their pain au raisin are sooo buttery, and the baguettes once they come out of the oven at 6:30…amazing!! 🤩😋

How about a gorgeous filet, a perfect, juicy medium rare, with creamed spinach and gruyere cheese stuffed mushrooms, soaking up the wonderful flavors of my new favorite harissa beurre blanc 😊😋! Yes, I am obsessed with this sauce for the moment, because it is, just so versatile. It goes with almost anything.
I love 💕 Paris. Whenever I come back, inspiration for new dishes for Plate seep in from every direction…from the gorgeous markets I visit, to the amazing people I meet and the delicious food I eat. This little beauty I dreamt up craving something rich and “onctueux,” savory but slightly sweet, with elements of chewy but with a tad bit of crunch. For me, this sauce is the magic carpet that carries with it the right amount of silky and smooth, with citrus of course, and just the right amount of heat. Good lord, this sounds almost 😅 pornographic!! Haha! Wait until you taste it on Valentine’s Day at Plate 🔥🤩🥰❤️😋!
Now to the description: Fresh pan-seared Monkfish filet served atop scarlet harissa, citrus and tomato beurre blanc with a medley of ‘vegetables from the sun,’ tri-colored bell peppers, ginger and garlic, finished with sautéed sh*take mushrooms (for extra umami), and organic chervil greens for a final dash of color.
Les Gourmets des Ternes! WoW! This amazing little gem is literally around the corner from my apartment. Allen and I went there on Friday, and what a treat this was. The welcome, the food, the vibe..:and the very ‘shy’ 😉 Owner haha, is as adorable as can be, and keeps an eagle eye on each table and dish that gets set down. I thought we were charming , but this is next level. The mayo on the egg appetizer, the mustardy-creamy vinaigrette on the sweet white asparagus, the center cut filet (perfectly cooked) with the “please pour this all over ny body” - ha - peppercorn sauce, red wine reduced ridiculousness, roasted bone marrow, coarse salt and porcini mushrooms. Dessert I will post maybe, because I’m sure everyone can’t imagine another bite! What a great place to dine. Especially for solo diners, as you will be made to feel so at home! My new favorite Paris discovery! 😋🥰🎉🍾 Oh and BTW, this place is famous. You’ll know why when you get there and see all the celebrity photos. Open Friday-Sunday. Price point is also very reasonable considering the quality of products and preparation. Do remember US friends, this is Paris, so you will sit close to your neighbor. It’s all good, because everyone who goes here is absolutely amazing! Make sure to get a photo with the 🔥 hot 🔥 and very charming owner!
How about a little taste of summertime in the midst of this winter 🥶 cold! Caprese salad with juicy bufala mozzarella cheese, sea salt, fresh basil and xtra virgin olive oil! My favorite EVOO to date! Delicious 😋!!!

Welcome to Paris in the Fall! When the temperatures turn chilly, this is the perfect time, anywhere, to ‘gougère’ and drink champagne! These little bundles of heaven (haha I call them Nippes of Venus😎) are folded and filled with Swiss Gruyère cheese to make them even more decadent delicious 😋! We will be serving them at Plate over the holidays! Yes I finally come back next week with some new recipes to entice you with 🥰😘😋!
