Text to 9-1-1 allows individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or those with speech impairment direct access to 9-1-1. Text to 9-1-1 may also be used in emergency situations where it is not safe to place a voice call to 9-1-1. Check with your local public safety agency to see if text-to-9-1-1 is available in your area. Call if you can, text if you can't.
