There’s no easy way to put this, so we’ll just say it plain. Genuine Joe is closed for the foreseeable future. Yesterday was our last day of business. We are sorry to the community for the short notice- it surprised all of us too. We love you all. Thank you so much for so many years of support and business. We know this place was considered a home to many and wish we had more time to say goodbye to you all. We will be in touch about a proper farewell soon. Love you all!

Genuine Joe Coffeehouse is now open from 7 am to 6 pm on weekdays and 8 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays! 🍂☕️✨❤️

The dinos miss y'all! We're all waiting for the day we can safely congregate at the coffee shop again. Until then, we're still taking orders at the door 8-1 on weekdays, 8-3 on weekends and are welcoming people to use our newly shaded porch at a safe distance. Take care of yrselves and be safe! Our community is the reason we exist.

Just wanted to thank the community for coming together in these hard times. The people who have been coming by for coffee, donating masks, and sharing their stories have made all the difference in the world in the past couple weeks. A special thank you to everyone who has donated to or shared our staff GoFundMe relief fund. It's still live and has already made a huge difference to help make ends meet. This is my life now. Thanks to the generosity of the community our staff has received their normal amount of pay on time and will be able to make ends meet. I'm forgoing my paycheck as well and am running the shop solo every day. I could write a book about the connections I've made the last week and the relationships that have deepened with people I've seen every day for years. We are starting on refinishing the paint on the interior walls and have ambitious plans to give this place the love we have been too damn busy to lavish. It might get weird. It will get weird. It is weird. If you want to support the shop directly we have gift cards on our website that I will mail to you personally. It's a watercolor of a T Rex howling at the moon. If you're in the neighborhood we are selling our own Crestview blend coffee beans that were just roasted a day ago. Stay safe, stay strong, and create where you can.

Several people have asked about how they can contribute in the coming weeks. We humbly ask that you do what you can for our amazing staff who show up everyday to foster and grow the community we love.

Meanwhile, we remain open as we keep up with new city ordinances. Our meeting rooms, main seating area, and outside areas are shut down until further notice. We’re keeping doors propped open to minimize contact and have moved all our condiments behind the bar. Per usual, we’re doing everything we can to keep things as clean as possible.
