In the past month or so there has been a lot of talk about the part Latin people have played in Hip Hop. Whether it be were they there at the beginning of it or what they are doing now? So we decided to show some love to to our Latin brothers and sisters in Hip Hop for Hispanic Heritage Month.

First up is Richard “Crazy Legs” Colón.

Richard Colón bka Crazy Legs is the president and original member of the legendary B-Boy crew Rock Steady, founded in 1979. The Puerto Rican, Bronx, NY native was featured in the earliest stories of Hip Hop, and helped to bring the art form of break dancing to places like London and Paris. Crazy Legs was featured in Hip Hop folms such as Charlie Ahearn’s Wild Style, Style Wars, Beat Street, & more. In 2018 Colón received the Hispanic Heritage Award for Culture and the 31st annual Hispanic Heritage Awards in Washington DC.
