Future Front Texas

Future Front Texas

Homegrown in Austin, Future Front is an award-winning cultural space and exhibition series—with women and LGBTQ+ creatives at the front.

Future Front Texas is a 501c3 nonprofit, homegrown in Austin, Texas. We started as a grassroots meet-up series called Boss Babes ATX (bbatx) in 2015. We are run by a four-person staff and a network of amazing volunteers, each committed to showing up for the spaces we want to see in the world. We produce exhibitions, markets, shows and educational spaces where creatives, founders and leaders can grow together. We nurture resources for resilience in creative industries, too.

Happy first birthday to The Future Front House. 🎱 We opened our brick-and-mortar doors to an eclipse last October, and it’s been a year of miraculous firsts and diabolical roof leaks and 100 (free) creative community events since.

What a time, y’all.

FUTURE LANDS IS BACK 🌏This October, we’re welcoming Highlander Center for another free community teach-in at The Future Front House.

This time, we’re exploring the artistic, cultural and creative impact of southern people’s struggles for justice and democracy and what that looks like in our current political climate. We’re diving deep into the third spaces we love and the intersections of pleasure, healing and visioning in movement-building—all through the lens of Black Feminist resistance.

Come through for good food (by Austin’s own ) and grounded conversation in our gallery among artists, organizers and facilitators.

Swipe through the slides for the schedule. You can RSVP at futurefronttexas.org/comethrough.

All are welcome. 🤠
