From Rayâs message on Mark 11 here are the takeaways:
1. Inspect your temple. âNow that we know what Jesus expects of His Temple, we should inspect our Temple for any corruption that may have taken up residence in our hearts. âSearch me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!â (Ps 139:23)
2. Commit to honest worship. Donât allow the conveniences of life to make you complacent in your pursuit of God.
3. Make Him Lord of All. Have you given Him every area of your life or just that parts you think Heâs most interested in?
Last week we continued in our series in the book of Mark called The Sympathetic Savior. From Mark 11, Ray Holden reminded us that Godâs intent for His house is that it would be an inviting place for all people for the purpose of participating in corporate, authentic, heartfelt prayer in an atmosphere of reverence.
Lois and Eunice, grandmother and mother of Timothy, women of sincere faith. Who are the formal figures in your life with sincere faith that have poured into you well?
Watch our Motherâs Day message in the link in our bio!
Happy Mothers Day :) we loved having yâall celebrate all the special mothers with us on Sunday!
Letâs take a look at the hearts of the Pharisees in Mark 3 and hear our hearts away from the symptoms they display.
They were unwilling to change. V1: Jesus entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a shriveled hand. 2 In order to accuse him, they were watching him closely to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath. (Mk 3:1â2)
They had an utter lack of compassion. V3: He told the man with the shriveled hand, âStand before us.â 4 Then he said to them, âIs it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save life or to kill?â But they were silent. (Mk 3:3â4)
They were unyielding to the miracle they witnessed. V6: Immediately the Pharisees went out and started plotting with the Herodians against him, how they might kill him. (Mk 3:6)
What does it mean to experience the presence of Jesus? It was great hearing from Ben Canfield this last week as he dove deep into what our lives of worship of the Lord looks like. Jesus alone is the living water that can satisfy! How amazing is that, church! He is our source, our peace, the living water.
Last Sunday we gave a special send off to the Canfields! Itâs been a great year and a half having them with us at Gospel Hope and we are so excited to see the Lord use them in Puerto Rico with Table Church!

See yâall tomorrow at 9:30am and 11am!
Hereâs for the note takers! Definitely worth listening to Kenny Grantâs message âHeaven over Earthâ a couple more times.
Happy Anniversary Gospel Hope!! Last Sunday was so special. We celebrated 7 years together and had a very moving display of Godâs people praying for Godâs people. 1 Corinthians 16:17-18 encouraged us to lift us those who refresh our spirit. Great message from our longtime friend in ministry, Kenny Grant and food trucks!!
The depth of Godâs compassion is unfathomable, the extent of care for His people is endless! Christ suffered FOR and WITH us so let us be reminded that we can talk to Him and He knows us đ¤
Here is the simple truth: Being your Mess to Him. He can handle it! He is close to us and willing!
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. (Heb 4:15)
Several times in Marks Gospel, Jesusâ emotions are pointed out:
* In Mark 3:5, Jesus âlooked around at them with anger,â
* In Mark 6:6, Jesus âwas amazed at their unbelief,â
* In Mark 10:21, âJesus, looking at him, loved him,â
* In Mark 14, Jesus is âdeeply grieved, even to deathâ
He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! âThe only way to beat death is to trust in the one who death could not beatâ! Something comes alive inside us when we remember what foundation our faith is based on. Jesus died for us BUT HE DID NOT STAY DEAD! Hallelujah! We loved having you with us yesterday for Resurrection Sunday! Happy Easter!
Are you ready for Easter Sunday tomorrow?! We are! Bring a friend and celebrate Jesusâ Resurrection with us at 9:30am and 11am!
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Marywent to look at the tomb.
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, âDo not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: âHe has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.â Now I have told you.â
Matthew 28:1-7
We hope youâve been dwelling in the Word this week to renew your mind with the significance of Jesusâ Resurrection. Come join us this Friday at 6pm at Gospel Hope Church for a special service of singing together, observing the Lordâs table and hearing from Godâs Word. Canât wait to see you!
Here are some good scriptures to meditate on this week!
Matthew 21:6-9 Palm Sunday
Matthew 21:12-15 Monday
Matthew 24:42-44 Tuesday
Luke 22:2-6 Wednesday
Mark 14:22-26 Maundy Thursday
Mark 15:25-26 Good Friday
We love being a church that exists to make disciples who are growing in the gospel As A Family while on mission and it was great seeing you this last weekend at Family Sunday!! We had a special time with the Gospel Hope kiddos including them in our sermon series âResurrectionâ The Truth that Transforms by talking about what happens to our bodies when we pass when we trust in Jesus!
We also got to celebrate Lynne as she steps down from being on staff to accept a new ministry assignment at a counseling center. She has faithfully served the church from the beginning and we loved getting to pray over her, Jorden, and Robert this last weekend!
It is not wishful thinking that drives our life, it is Gospel Hope! We have access to faith in the Creator of the Heavens and Earth, in the Provider of all good things and in the Creator of Life. There is confidence that comes from a relationship with the Great I Am. Where do you get that confidence? That foundation? In the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!
t was so great to hear from Ben Canfield this last weekend continuing in our sermon series âResurrectionâ The Truth That Transforms!
âAfter this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,â

Dear Believers of Jesus Christ,
Whose kingdom are you seeking to build? What are you spending your time on? Your finances advancing? What is dominating your thoughts?
Your kingdom come, your will be done⌠in our lives, through our efforts, by our thoughts, being obedient to you Lord.
Just a heart check this week. Dwell in the house of the Lord and let Him reveal what things you need to surrender to Him and let His Grace transform you.
If God can forgive Saul the persecutor, He can forgive you. Isnât is amazing that no one is too far gone that God canât save! The truth of Christâs resurrection informs us that Godâs Grace is ready and available for us ALL daily!
Pastor Ryan continued in our âResurrectionâ series this week by sharing about the transforming power of Forgiving Grace, Empowering Grace, and Kingdom Grace!
Church is tomorrow and Pastor Rod knows whatâs up! Weâre so excited to see you tomorrow at 9:30 and 11am! Bring the energy đ
đ¨New sermon series alert! âResurrection: The Truth that Transformsâ. đ¨The gospel gives us full disclosure when we look carefully at the death of Christ on the cross. We see the injury that was caused, the injustice that is at work, and our indebtedness in light of all of it.
Follow along with us each Sunday as we go through the RESURRECTION sermon series!
A great reminder that we are dependent children. We know that God is with us through the storm and challenges we face. Walk in confidence this week knowing that the King of Kings has equipped you to be READY for a world that is unsteady!
Happy Monday! Letâs talk praying posture. When you pray, how do you find yourself? Laying in bed before you even get up? On your knees? In the car on the way to work? Throughout the day? There is power in our posture because it can reflect the attitude of heart in prayer.
Solomon knelt down in front of the entire congregation of Israel (2 Chron. 6:13)
Daniel, on his knees, prayed and gave thanks to the Lord three times a day as he did before (Dan.6:10)
Start off this week strong in prayer with God with a posture of honor, gratitude, and worship!
I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, âI will confess my transgressions to the Lord,â and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selahâ
Prayer is our willingness to cross the bridge God has built to facilitate our fellowship. What hinders our fellowship with the Lord? Sin⌠Let us be encouraged to cling to God this week in prayer and be intentional about calling our sin what it is.
We have lots of great opportunities of prayer this week that we hope youâve been able to join us for!!
