Whelp.... Bad news for our sweet boy 😫
antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds were not successful.... we are worried there is a tumor there after having an ultrasound done... so the leg needs to come off... and soon!

Looking at anywhere from $800-1000 for that surgery. Putting in a request to take his nuts at the same time. But because of the heart-worms it needs to be a quick surgery! 😫 I'm stressing cause this guy is just a total love muffin.
Currently doing several treatments of PMS therapy to lessen the swelling so that we can close up the incision when the leg is removed. That is one of the major concerns our vet has right now… The swelling is so bad that he's worried he won't be able to close it up once he gets in there…

Sarge, Dante and Enzo and their mama Bella the German Sheoherd/Dobermans are in foster and they couldn't be more sweet and loving.
The babies are 11 weeks old and Bella is one to two years old. All of them are very well socialized with people and other dogs like. They are also freight train and Bella is housebroken.

‼️ Update on the Lab from the crack house!!!‼️

He stayed at the vet for a few days with his bad leg. We did x-rays... take a look... 👀
You will be SHOCKED!!! I sure was!

I have added the bill and we desperately need donations.... I will also include pictures of the necessities we need for him!

He is HW+ which means 4 months of crate rest and no running around.... ☠️☠️ We are going to need a BOATLOAD of bully sticks and toys. I have added an Amazon link from the wish list:

So what WAS going on with that leg of his?
Our best guess is that his leg had a bite or puncture of some sort that was never treated, became SEVERELY infected and blew up like a balloon. Because this happened the nerve in his leg and foot stopped working. He has a severe infection and cellulitis going on currently. There is no break, no dislocation!
I know... crazy right?!? So we DO have a chance to save this guy's leg, but heart worm treatment needs to happen first so he is strong enough to go under if we end up needing to amputate. The silver lining of him having heart worm is that he won't be able to undergo any sort of anesthesia for a few months, which automatically gives him time to heal and regenerate that leg, which hat we may not have waited to do if progress wasn't being made. Also, the crate rest is good for both the heart worm and the leg... he has the heart worm cough, so my assumption is that it's a pretty bad case. I just pray that we caught it early enough to fix! He's only about 1.5-2 years old and has a personality of GOLD!

So if you can help, I have attached the bill thus far for his immediate treatment. $1200 and change... then heart worm treatment will be another $1400 ☠️☠️☠️☠️

🚨 Emergency 🚨

On our way to pick up this guy who was rescued from a crackhouse!
He was living in the backyard and not being fed or watered… Neighbors were throwing food over and trying to take care of him… Finally convinced the owners to let him go after seeing the condition of his badly broken leg… we think he got out and was hit by a car and clearly the owners were not gonna do anything about it…

We need help with vet bills! Xray, meds for infection and possible amputation depending on how bad it is… I will be doing live shortly stay tuned… If you would like to help with his care, please choose one of the following options below:

We had an amazing adoption over the weekend! Our very first border collie Australian Shepherd puppy left for her forever home with a veterinarian out of Santa Barbara! We are thrilled for her and can't wait to see where the others end up! We love connecting our puppies with their siblings For puppy get together! So if you haven't done so already, please go ahead and spread the word about the others so we can get them all to their forever homes soon! So excited for these babies

This is Remi and she is an owner surrender.
Remi is a full bred Australian shepherd that will be 4 in September. She’s been spayed and is kennel trained. She gets along with other dogs and cats. She’s good around kids. Remi is high energy and can jump fences, she needs someone that has the time and ability to train her to stay in the yard if she is going to have to spend any time outside. We do believe that she is doing that because she wasn't getting the time and energy that she needed in her previous home due to a major life change in their schedule.

If you're going to get a dog from a breeder PLEASE Make sure you do your research very thoroughly… 90% of things in Pennsylvania and Ohio and the Midwest are backyard breeders and puppy mills so please be aware of that as well!!

Teeny tiny alert! 🚨

Meet Squeaks and Tri!
These two have quite the story to tell… These boys as big as they look… Are absolutely tiny! And when I say tiny… That is the reason I put the soda can next to them. Reference. Both weighing in around 3 1/2 pounds, these little brothers we believe were dumped in Oildale (Northeast Bakersfield) after being used as breeding studs for teacup Chihuahuas by someone… there was a third boy who sadly lost his life to a coyote before we found them… His body was collected and buried. Squeaks made it off the streets Scott free but little Tri lost his foot surviving out there.
When they first arrived they were absolutely terrified of everything and everyone, but they're amazing foster has done wonders for them… And they are warming up each every day and have become great friends with the dogs and the household kitties and the foster home… Both of which are much larger than them 🤪
We have gotten them and up-to-date on shots and they are house trained at this time… They are fine with kids but obviously being so tiny we have to make sure that they are in a good place where they won't get "broken" being manhandled by a young child…
We haven't had doggies this small in a very long time and they are definitely bonded so they would need to go together in a home… But the two of them combined barely make a whole dog anyway so whoever's looking for an amazing little travel pair, these two are the perfect fit!

Ok folks! I'm getting myself back together and I briefly mentioned this boy a few weeks ago, but didn't get to splurge about his amazingness! I would like to introduce you to our adorable 2 year old black Pugfy that was dumped in the orchards during the triple digit (116 degree) day a few weeks ago... as most of you snub nose pup fans know- these dogs do NOT do heat like that, so thank goodness he had a guardian angel watching over him that day… We decided to name him Elvis and he has nothing short of rico suave and handsome 😍
He has not met a stranger and adores everyone he meets- dogs, cats and people alike. He will be going up on the website for adoption tonight, so spread the word and get your applications in/. This one is a GEM and will not last long!!!

Apologies for the delay in posts lately… It's been a rough couple of weeks over here… I've lost two in my personal pack in the last three weeks and I've been quite distraught about it… Not having a full pack like I always did in California has been a very weird thing for me… Having a "normal" number of dogs does not feel normal at all. It feels very empty and sad…
But onto the purpose of my post...
Pennies puppies, the border collie Australian shepherds are growing like weeds and eyes are open… They are about 2 1/2 weeks now and I was lucky enough to meet the adorable crew on my 12 hour stent to bakersfield last week… Here's a little preview of what's in store in the next few weeks.
