Sweet, sweet, Lily, whose mama has made so many generous donations to the Pantry over the years, had to cross the rainbow 🌈 bridge.

Our hearts break for her mom and dad, and as well my own heart hurts. Lily was such a loving soul.

Lily’s mom donated Lily’s supplies and toys so that many other pets will benefit.

Lily’s parents also made a generous monetary donation to the Pantry. This will serve so many other pets. Their kindness was immense.

As soon as his dad picked up the treat 🍗🍖bag he knew the scoop and was so excited.l 🐾💜

We served 160 people today!

That means approximately 644 pets will have full tummies!

That also means that approximately 6,500 pounds of pet food passed through our doors today!

We can only continue to serve the community through the donations we receive. Thank you for your support 🐾🐾

Pet Food delivery to Plaza Towers in action 🐾💜

Once a month the Bakersfield Pet Food Pantry delivers pet food to the seniors and disabled at the two building low income complex managed by the Housing Authority.

Look closely at the picture of the woman in the caftan, her little dog (reserving name for privacy) is always in the cutest dresses too!

The big black and white pup (again reserving name for privacy) fished his treat out of the bag and proudly walked out with it 🐾💜😂

The Self Serve Pet Spa Flushing Quail (Calloway adjacent) location had lots of donations for the Pantry this week! 🐾💜

We are so grateful for Self Serve’s loyalty in maintaining a donation barrel for us as well as donating their own inventory.

Self Serve Pet Spa has the best employees! They are always willing to help our volunteers as well as providing excellent customer service. Our volunteer who picked up the donation said: “Really good size haul from SS Calloway 👌 👍 Amy was there to open up and had me loaded up and on my way in no time. Small wonder their employees are so fantastic, her personality obviously is a big influence on them....David too!”

A kind soul, who wished to remain anonymous, stopped by the Pantry to donate cat food and treats.

Her cat, Spooky, crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge, and she wanted another kitty to benefit from his food.

Thanks to a grant from the Virginia and Alfred Harrell Foundation we are able to provide collars and leashes to our recipients. Today volunteers fitted the pets of Plaza Towers with collars and leashes 🐾💜
