Jeff Dobson TWO WILLOWS BRAND (Bespoke)- Artisanal Appalachian Hams
[email protected] 865-406-4722
Jeff Dobson, with the help of brothers, cousins, and uncles, has revived the traditional ham curing techniques of the Dobson family, going back generations. The Dobson recipe, updated with a couple of curing refinements, has resulted in a uniquely flavorful ham along the lines of Spanish jamon or Italian prosciutto. Dobson's Artisanal Appalachian Hams, like their European cousins, are best eaten raw. Shave off a thin slice and savor it with drinks or tangy fruit. Offer it on a self-serve cutting board, and your party will immediately become legendary. Then, fold a few slivers into scrambled eggs for the next day's breakfast.
Contract with Jeff for you next bespoke ham. He will tailor it to your tastes and have it ready for you next winter.

This Saturday is our 7th Annual Sheep to Shawl Event! We hope you can make it. We have exciting things happening and so far the weather looks perfect! This year the sheep shearing will begin around 10:30 and continue until after 12:00. We have an impressive list of Demonstrators and Exhibitors. I will have a loom setup for anyone to try their hand at weaving, I will also have on display the finished tote bag that was constructed from last year’s many many small hands who worked on the project. It turned out beautiful!
Gerald and I just picked up our processed fleeces from last year ‘s shearing from the Mill this past weekend, the roving is beautiful and will be available for sale! So if you ever wanted to spin or felt with Jacob wool, here’s your chance – and you’ll even see the sheep it came from! I will have drop spindle kits available, these are great if you want to learn to spin and make yarn with very little investment. BUT, if you would like to learn to spin on a spinning wheel, I will have on display all the Kromski brand spinning wheels made. If you are interested in trying one, stop by the Lazy D Farm tent – and I’ll be glad to let you try one. Don’t miss seeing the baby lambs – they are so cute! Of course, the Angora Rabbits will make appearance during the day, it’s once again time to harvest their coat, it’s getting warm!
When visiting please come by our tent and allow us to say HELLO and thank you in person for attending our event! We’ve had such great support in years past.
Check out our website www.lazydfarm.com for directions and pictures of our event from past years! If you have any questions or need any additional information, please give me a call or send an email.
