For example, in USA's most expensive areas, the limit for a conforming loan can go as high as $1,149,825. If a borrower needs more than their local limit, it will require a jumbo loan.

Installment loans are factored into your credit score and typically have a fixed balance and regular monthly payments. Common types of installment debt include car loans or personal loans.
