Don’t miss the region’s largest free music and arts festival, brought to you by and the .
We’re thrilled to welcome a diverse and entertaining lineup, including:
• 🎹 Seattle-based multi-instrumentalist brings their inspiring brand of funk and raw talent to the TMD stage! Davis currently fronts their own quartet and plays alongside Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard his side project, Painted Shield. Gossard’s label, Loosegroove Records, released Davis’s debut album, Image Issues—an extremely personal album that illustrates Brittany’s experiences being a black, blind, and non-binary musician in today’s world. The lead single “Sepricon” is their ode to James Brown—a bold offering, but one that would make the Godfather of Soul very proud.
• 🪶 Longstanding Nashville-based quintet , comprised of musicians who were all lead singers in previous bands. Their blend of Southern rock, Americana, blues, and folk music has earned them touring spots with notable acts like Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Gary Clark Jr., Band of Horses, and ZZ Ward. Enjoy tunes from the band’s upcoming album Sirens (October 4th)—a new LP of road-worn, sharply-woven tales chronicling a life worth living, love worth holding, and the hard-earned lessons found along the ride.
• 🎤 (also known as DDm) is a Baltimore native, entertainer, singer, songwriter, and “raptivist.” In the early to mid-2000’s they came up in the local rap battle scene, solidifying their role as a mainstay in the Baltimore circuit. They have also performed with national acts including Dan Deacon, Future Islands, Beach House, and Big Freedia. DDm also hosts the popular ‘Secretary Of Shade’ YouTube channel where they discuss politics, current events, and the government and all its shenanigans. They also act—playing the lead in an Official Sundance Selection film in addition to programs on Netflix, BET, and “The Hill.”
Plus local food, drink, artisans, makers, friends, and fun! 😎🍔🍻🛍️🦆☀️🌳
See you soon, Baltimore! 🦀
Today on Detour, the Folk, Roots, and World Music Show – Remembering Heather Wood of The Young Tradition; New music by New Dangerfield and Lemon Bucket Orkestra; Old music by Glykeria and Richard & Linda Thompson; Music from England, Madagascar, USA/China, Greece, Canada, Northern Ireland, Spain, Australia, and France (Brittany)/Algeria (Kabylia), plus plenty from the USA; the Detour Cover Set; and you're going to need walls around your kitchen when it rains.
