I can’t help but be so grateful and super happy about the people that I have met the last two months of my guilds’ tour, seven so far.

I have come home with so much hope in my heart but also, plants. From the amazing crew Minnesota Quilters, Inc., to the enormous amount of Canna tubers from Common Threads Quilt Guild of WI. —> to the volunteer garden donation from a member of Prairie Star Quilt Guild, and my friend Elizabeth Cahill By Hand, sometimes I just can’t believe that there’s so much goodness out there. But there is. I recommend unplugging from the news to recharge the human joy meter

New workshop! Mending Lab with Maday
September 13, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm with Maday Delgado of Sustainable Textile Designs

Learn a sustainable practice, prolong the life of beloved textiles, and put your personal mark on clothing and home decor. This workshop offers the maker a unique and decorative opportunity to mend your favorite garments. From the most invisible pants inner leg to shoulders, there is a “Mend” for that.

Whether you wish to learn something new, spend some time with your friends, or mend items for yourself and loved ones, it will be a well-spent creative, relaxing, mindful time.

Maday has been leading workshops in sustainability at Blue Bar Quilts since May 2017. Her whole mission is to reduce textile waste in our landfills and promote lifelong sustainable practices for well-being.
