I am working on a research paper right now in my FNP program and will post a survey to collect data in the hopes of changing a law that desperately needs it! Patient safety is a priority!

Right now anyone can inject Botox & Dermal filler. Most states require a medical background of an RN or above.

I have personally tried to use 2 separate Medical Director memberships after my first one didnt work out due to costs. Both of which I cancelled them due to not wanting my license associated. Clear knowledge deficits of people in the training who still get “certified,” as well as counterfeit and diverted product being distributed to the injectors are just a couple reasons why I refused to be associated with unethical companies. These companies and many of the injectors are about monetary gain not patient safety!

Please be aware of who you are using as your injector!
If they work out of a salon, suite, or concierge, make sure they are medical professionals with extensive training and an active medical director who participates in the day to day operations, who is truly available in the event of an emergency, who ensures legal and safe products are being used…

We have a fantastic one in DT Bastrop who values medical continuing education, ethics, possesses critical thinking skills, and has the knowledge and skill set to respond in an emergency.

**I am not working in a clinic at the moment, just a concerned aspiring nurse injector who has first hand experience of the unsafe and unethical practices running rampant in Texas. My goal right now is to continue advancing myself as a medical professional through education and training so that I can become my best-self as a nurse injector. Your safety and treatment outcomes are most important!
