What a great weekend! Another fabulous year of Rocketchix, our third year at . Thank you to 's Hospital for your support as our title sponsor - packet pickup was a dream! Last thing…parking is in the overflow lot across from L’Auberge casino. Do not park in or enter the neighborhood if you are an athlete. Look for this sign!!! Walk your bike from here to the race site.

You asked for it and we delivered. Single loop run course! Check out this link for the map. The far out and back section is on packed gravel. We will have an aid station near the turnaround.

The Rocketkidz Foundation mourns the loss of our long time finish line timer, Farrel LeBoeuf of Cajun Timing. If you have raced with RKF, then you have been greeted by his smile at the finish line. He will be missed dearly by the whole racing community.

Our Story
Woman Only Triathlon and Duathlon geared for fun!
Run, bike, swim on beautiful private property in Sunshine, Louisiana. We believe there is an athlete in every woman, no matter how old or young, fit or not. Find your inner athlete and join us for a great spirited event where ladies rule.
Race Distances are: 300 yd open water swim / 12 mile bike /2 mile run for the triathlon and 2 mile run / 12 mile bike / 2 mile run for the duathlon.
Individual entries as well as 2 or 3 person Relay Teams.
USAT SANCTIONED RACE
NO REFUNDS and NO TRANSFERS for any reason, sorry.
RKF reserves the right to cancel or modify the event based on inclement weather or other events that impact event safety (when the levee springs a leak). This is done at the discretion of the Race Director. Note: We simply cannot issue refunds due to cancellation because by race day, all funds have been used to prepare for the race. We are obligated to pay for those resources if the event is held or not. But there is good news of sorts....
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT BENEFIT THE ROCKETKIDZ FOUNDATION, A NONPROFIT DEDICATED TO CREATING AND SUSTAINING ACTIVE, FIT AND HEALTHY KIDS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES. Any remaining funds generated by this race are used to fund area programs that benefit child and family health and fitness. Check us out at www.rocketkidz.org.
Even if you've never done a triathlon before, YOU CAN DO THIS! We can help. We will have lots of training opportunities throughout the year. In 8 weeks you, too, can become a triathlete or a duathlete!
We love racers of all levels to come 'tri' our race, but please note that you DO need SOME preparation....that includes a bike tuneup to make sure your bike is in safe working order. We do what we can to assist with flats and such out on the course but our Bicycle Shop crew can't perform basic maintenance on race day or repair significant mechanical issues out on the course. Please have your bike 'spiffed and biffed' prior to race day - you don't want to put all that work into your race and have your racing steed let you down!
