Rescued Treasures

It’s been a bit but we are still alive and so are some of our plants! Hope you all are doing well! 🪴

It has been a rough recovery for us since the freeze. In addition, lots going on with Tricia so clearing out our inventory of pots and baskets. We have about 4 boxes so far set aside that I am willing to part with for next to nothing. If you want to come dig through what we have send me a PM.

Today has been the first day that it was sorta warm and not raining. My supportive daughter, Mandy Milling, provided both emotional and physical support as I assessed the damage of the flowers in the greenhouse. It is grim... Out of about 200 potted plants, there are about 10 with minimum damage and maybe another 20-30 I feel pretty confident will bounce back. The rest will be up to God and Mother Nature.

Outside of the greenhouse the outlook for the potted plants is pretty depressing. There is a small ray of hope for the ones in the ground.

Good news for our customers: I am thoroughly depressed about the situation and wondering if I will be able to suffer through another freeze. Well, me being depressed isn’t the good news. The good news is I have 400+ pots that will need a new home if I give up on outdoor plants and will be priced low. If there is a size, shape, color or type you are interested in chances are I have it. PM me to setup a time to come see what is available. We have several rooted cuttings of the night blooming cereus. Various sizes available if you are looking for a present for a friend who loves unique plants.

This is the first year this tree has had so many flowers. Mandy Milling has been able to dry many of the blooms and use in her beautiful artwork. These are just a few of her framed blooms. ❤️ 🌺

This beautiful hibiscus has two blooms today! Mandy will be picking them to dry before the rain comes tonight.

It’s that time of the year again…. Do you have plants you think are dead? Bring them to Tricia and she will do her best to bring them back to life. Take an aloe pup (or two) home with you at no charge!

While it was a rough summer, we have lots of healthy plants alive and flourishing, just waiting for a nice warm home for the winter.

It’s cold and rainy outside so Nicole is getting some extra loving from Tricia (or maybe the other way around). ❤️

Been a horrible afternoon so hoping some pretty plant pics will brighten my mood.

How big are our elephant ears?? Here you will find Amy at 5’7” and Petr at ??? How tall are you Petr?? If you know Petr, you know he is tall!!!

Now, you probably know we have our fair share of critters in our garden and for the most part we love them! Unfortunately no matter how kind we are to them, the squirrels LOVE to dig up our plants, plant some pecans and even knock our beautiful rescued treasures to the ground. This means we have LOTS of treasures that are so broken we can only use them for fairy garden arrangements. Our loss is your gain, come pick through our broken treasures and see if you can use any of them for your own fairy garden or some other craft.

We have pots starting as low as $8 each and our aloe plants flourished this summer. These are pics of our larger aloe beds - we have tons of pups available for you to choose from.
