Dr. Waleed Zaid graduated from dental school in the UAE in 2003. He then went on to complete an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at McGill University in Montreal Canada in 2012. After his residency, he completed a Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship at Boston Medical Center.

In 2012, Dr. Zaid was awarded a Master’s in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for his thesis “In Vitro Effects of Bisphosphonates on Oral Squamous-Cell Carcinoma BHY Cells and BHY-Induced Osteoclasts” from McGill University.

He joined LSU in July 2013 where he has been on staff in the LSU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. He also serves as Assistant professor at LSU Faculty of Dentistry and Attending Surgeon at Our Lady Of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
