Help us to get someone in your family screened for prostate cancer. The Barbershop Bash will take place at Webb Barbershop, August 24th. We will be providing free prostate and colorectal cancer screenings, among other screenings for the family. Food and fun will also be provided! Check out the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Baton Rouge's 20th Annual Terrel Jackson, Sr. Old School Variety & Greek Show at the SU Minidome!! Fraternities and Sororities will be competition stepping for annual bragging rights, as well as some youth groups!! DJ Marquis will be on the ones and twos, and its gonna be a party for a great cause! Be there or be square!!

My time as President of the Beta Iota Lambda Chapter has come to an end. It was a time that saw us having to meet via Zoom during the height of the COVID pandemic, to now, a really different world. Through it all we did the work of Alpha in our community! We were recognized as the Louisiana Alumni Chapter of the Year for the past 4 years, and Southwest Regional Chapter of the Year 2 years ago. I wish President-Elect Bro. David Dartez and the new slate of officers all the best, as the new year will start in September. We have some exciting developments in the works! Thank you to all the BIL Alpha men that answered the call when it came time to do the work of Alpha!! Onward and Upward! '06!

Great morning spent with Academic Honors Network as they gave almost $750,000 in scholarships to East Baton Rouge Parish seniors with 3.0 or better grade point averages!! Truly impressive to see almost 2000 EBRP scholars that have worked hard to keep their GPA's above 3.0. Proud that the Alpha Enrichment Foundation was able to provide 2 of those scolarships! Kudos to Brother's Judge Wilson Fields, Domenic McClinton, Johnathon Hill, and the rest of the Academic Honors Network Team for an excellent event!! Continued success to your team for helping our youth go to college!!

Had a good chance to run into the good Brother, Coach Dr. Brandon White, the AD and State Championship basketball coach at Liberty Magnet!!
