On yesterday July 6th, 2024 our Brother Deon Simon hosted a youth football camp in Baton Rouge. Brother Simon is a former NFL star and initiate of Lambda Alpha of Fall23. The camp was hosted at his Alma Mater Glen Oaks High School. The camp was a success and will be held next year as well. Keep up the great work young Que!

Today we would like to congratulate the recipients of the Lambda Alpha Chapter George Williams Memorial Scholarship Award! This afternoon our chapter awarded four $2,000 scholarships to recent high school graduates set to begin their collegiate studies this fall. Award recipients exemplified strong commitments not only to their scholastic achievements, but also to their communities and and professional development! We are extremely proud and excited for our awardees and wish you the best as you continue your academic pursuits!

Abdel-Raoof has demonstrated his commitment to Omega and his community through noble projects such serving as Chair of Talent Hunt Program, Achievement Week, and Social Action project for the Baton Rouge community. Moreover, Bro. Abdel-Raoof has reclaimed over 30 Brothers back into the fold of Omega and serves as the advisor to the Beta Sigma chapter. Bro. Abdel-Raoof is also a decorated Brother who has received the Omega Man of the Year and Superior Service Award. Lastly, Bro. Abdel-Raoof proudly serves as the Basilues of Lambda Alpha and dedicates his time to unselfishly hosting Toy Drives, serving meals, and advocating for Domestic Violence awareness across the state of Lousiana.
