Oaklawn Gynecologists are devoted to the reproductive care of women from the time she gets her first period to post-menopause.
They handle all women’s health concerns including routine well woman care and Pap smears, breast problems, uterine or vaginal infections, cancer of the reproductive organs, fertility problems, contraception, and more. They also perform surgical procedures such as tubal ligations and hysterectomies. Some procedures, such as hysterectomies, utilize the state-of-the-art da Vinci Xi surgical system.

Cindy Wagner, MA, LLP, a psychologist with Oaklawn for 34 years, will be retiring this fall.
Wagner, who has been seeing patients in Calhoun County for more than four decades began at Oaklawn Outpatient Psychological Services in 1990. Over the course of her career, she has worked primarily with children and adolescents and their families, but also has helped adults of all ages and backgrounds.
“I work with a really great group of people here, and we have always worked hard to provide really good service,” said Wagner. “I’ve had such an incredible number of just really fabulous patients who have come in here and they’re just everyday people from different walks of life who are dealing with some particular issue, worry or concern and they just want to be better. I consider myself lucky to have worked with them.”

This fall, Oaklawn will open a new retail pharmacy at 310 E. Michigan Ave. inside the back of the Brooks Building in downtown Marshall, which was formerly the dialysis center location.
Pharmacist Joe Young noted that the new location will offer prescription services, medication counseling, over the counter medications, and other health care equipment.
“Accessible care is a part of Oaklawn’s mission and with the expected closure of a local pharmacy, our new pharmacy will fill a critical need, ensuring that our patients continue to have convenient access to their medications and additionally, making essential medications more accessible and affordable to our community."

Starting Monday, August 5, 2024 through Friday, August 30, 2024, watermain installation will occur from along the west side of 15 Mile Road between Verona Road and Michigan Avenue and along the north side of Michigan Avenue from 15 Mile Road west to the water tank site. This work will result in the closure of 15 Mile Road to thru traffic.
This will affect Oaklawn’s Life Improvement Center (OLIC) which houses our physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and wound care services along with our Fitness Center patrons. Patients should use Verona Road detour route if approaching from the North and the Michigan Avenue detour route if approaching from the South.

Beginning in September, Oaklawn will no longer be offering automated breast ultrasound (ABUS). Mammography guidelines state that routine mammography with 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and handheld ultrasound (HHUS) are the standard of care for patients with dense breast tissue and ABUS will no longer be supported conclusively as a crucial test.
