We are long time racers of the 24 Hours of Lemons. We are the Sesame Street Outlaws.
The Sesame Street Outlaws have been racing cars in the 24 Hours of Lemons series since 2009. The teams runs most of the northeast races and occasionally members serve as judges for races. Our preferred vehicle is the Saturn S-series but we have been known to branch out on occasion.
A belated Happy New Year to everyone! I hope this race year is safe and fun.

Busy day but we are now able to get two cars into the shop. I have no idea how long this will last, but it’s good for now. We still have some stuff to get rid of, but it is a good start.

We had a modicum of self preservation and pulled the Javelin off the track once the rain came in. 5.9L RWD V8 at NHMS in the rain was asking for trouble.

The javelin is finally up and running! We even have 4 days to spare.

The engine is finally starting to come together for the Javelin. We had a delay because the piston rings were boxed incorrectly so had to order a new set. More work tomorrow night and installation this weekend.

Spec CRX?
Let's see...It's about 1 month to NHMS and none of the four Lemons cars we have are ready to race. Sedan has a broken axle/front wheel bearing. The Rookie Monster has some issue (forgot what). The Wagon has a transmission issue. The Javelin doesn't have an engine.
That sounds about right...
Bracket GP wrap up. The finished near the bottom of the pack. We were in second for the first few hours but wheel bearing failure for us. We were off too long to be remotely competitive. A front wheel bearing or the front axle nut sheared off. Not sure which happened first but the floppy front wheel ended things. Two failures for the day is not recoverable.
All in all it’s a fun event. It’s a bit more relaxed than a Lemons weekend. Maybe we’ll try again next year.

Bracket GP at Thompson today! It’s nice and cool and only like 25 cars.

Getting close to the Bracket GP at Thompson. We need to finish up the sedan and do an upgrade. Put on new front wheel bearings and then added the old race springs from the wagon. Gave it an alignment and good to go.
Of course, the alternator died and the brakes need replacement but that’s not too bad.

We put in a little work on the new race car this weekend. Manny had to fetch the sedan so we started to strip the new car. It's a mechanical mess but at least its not tetanus ridden.
We did find about $1.25 in change and neat little dinosaur figurine in the car.
